Within weeks it started freezing up randomly while on Netflix or YouTube and would require a complete unplug and restart to get it working again. Sometimes it would freeze up and just shut itself off for long periods of time and would take several hours to power back up again for use. It has no lighted display so it was often difficult to tell if it was trying to turn on or not. By 5 months, it was completely useless, would not play DVDs or show menu for app use. Just turns on and shows a generic Samsung logo on screen. This is the second Samsung DVD player I have owned that has had an extremely short life span.

We actually replaced a unit that we experienced the same issue with this one. The unit kept pausing and would not stop until I found the fix online. Once corrected, it and the old one, work fine.

We're sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your Blu-Ray player. Could you please reach out directly to the Geek Squad Agents at your nearby store or the Samsung customer service center? Your new player should be under warranty, and should be able to repaired.
We recognize this is a major inconvenience with the disc stuck inside. We hope you'll give us a chance to get your unit fixed.
