The blu ray player is good, the only issue is that it doesn't stay connected to the wifi. Netflix streaming is slow.

An inexpensive bluray for ocassional disc watching. Other products would be batter streamers.

I bought an open box and I returned it I would need to let go of tv service at home to use it right I cant afford both

We put these in all our guest rooms. They are great but do not connect to 5gigahertz wifi. Would not be a main unit.

I was looking for a unit that had a sub port to play downloads. I was told this had the capability - but it does not.

Wireless capability sucks. You have to continually log it back in to the wifi. Blu ray movies play okay though.

Average player. Online apps work fine. No power on LED is most basic shortcoming. You never know if it's on or off.

Had issues right out of the box. Returned the same day to purchase SONY BDP-S5500

This player hardly ever will connect to the Internet...it's the actual player not internet service like they claim it to be...every other device in my home works perfect with my wifi! They refuse to fix it because they claim it isn't their fault! If I wouldn't have already thrown the boxes out I would return them! If you don't was to watch something using Internet, it works fine!

I have nothing to add to this request. I love electronics and I buy my products online and instore at best buy

This product wasn't easy to set up. It didn't connect with my TV or any universal remote.

Yes, it is no better than average. Especially, the apps are not up to par compared to other brands.

Like I said it's a nice blu-ray player,but it doesn't let you access many online networks. No WWE access.

The Bluray player works great but it would be nice to have access to more apps like the older models did.

Overpriced and overrated. Do your homework before purchase. Walmart & Olie's carry HDMI cables.

Very pleased with this purchase, which replaces an 8 yr old 1st generation player with limited internet offerings and a sticky disk drawer. Unit set-up was a breeze and the player offers more smart TV options than anyone could possible need, including Netflix, Hula +, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. All of them stream flawlessly (and in 5.1 sound for some Amazon selections) from my router across the room. Best part is that I have over 600 digital HD movies stored on a 4 TB hard drive connected to my router (NAS). This player recognizes that drive thru my wi-fi and plays all those movies - mostly in MKV, but I haven't yet encountered a format it won't play - like my own personal Netflix for anyone in my household. I imagine it would play my 800 GB music library the same way, tho I haven't tried that yet. The only drawbacks: 1) Absolutely no lights on the unit so one can't tell if it's on or off without firing up the TV. 2) A unit with this many modern features should offer a gigabit wi-fi AC connection. That option on my home network does not appear as a choice in the set-up menu. Aside from those minor quibbles. this is a great player at 1/3 the size and 1/2 the price I paid for my 8 yr old unit. Buy with confidence.

Consistently had issues with this player and for some reason I had to constantly set up the internet as it kept saying that it wasn't connected. I returned it and bought a Sony player instead and have not been having much or any problems with that player. This player was a disappointment, got it to save a few bucks and should have purchased the better product right away.

Not a very good buy for me. Wanted it for the family room. Bad connection issues. Have to reset several times.
