Very pleased with this purchase, which replaces an 8 yr old 1st generation player with limited internet offerings and a sticky disk drawer. Unit set-up was a breeze and the player offers more smart TV options than anyone could possible need, including Netflix, Hula +, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. All of them stream flawlessly (and in 5.1 sound for some Amazon selections) from my router across the room. Best part is that I have over 600 digital HD movies stored on a 4 TB hard drive connected to my router (NAS). This player recognizes that drive thru my wi-fi and plays all those movies - mostly in MKV, but I haven't yet encountered a format it won't play - like my own personal Netflix for anyone in my household. I imagine it would play my 800 GB music library the same way, tho I haven't tried that yet. The only drawbacks: 1) Absolutely no lights on the unit so one can't tell if it's on or off without firing up the TV. 2) A unit with this many modern features should offer a gigabit wi-fi AC connection. That option on my home network does not appear as a choice in the set-up menu. Aside from those minor quibbles. this is a great player at 1/3 the size and 1/2 the price I paid for my 8 yr old unit. Buy with confidence.

At the beginning it worked great but not sure if it's not streaming very good , it constantly shuts off

Not a very good buy for me. Wanted it for the family room. Bad connection issues. Have to reset several times.

Very easy to use and very low load times. Would turn the TV on by itself but easily fixed

Average blue ray player. You have to go to the top to get ultimate picture these days.

I never know when its on. It has no indication light on the front!

I cant even tell when it's on or off. The picture quality is okay but has no other perks

While giving a great picture once the disc does load , it takes a few minutes for the disc to actually load.

Player meets basic needs with little frills. Cannot tell when player is on or off by looking at the unit.

Basic functions for dvd player. hard to order had many issues with customer service.

Needs more info on how to add other apps. Product says you can add more apps, but I have no clue how.

I purchased 2 of these and at fist they were great, but then when I did a software update to both one wouldn't connect to the internet and when I tried to play a DVD it would keep pausing every 10 seconds or so. I figured it would be easier to replace it rather than trying to warranty it so I purchased a new one, well the same thing happened, I did a software update and no connection to the internet and the DVD wouldn't work, I did an exchange and didn't do a software up date but when I tried the DVD it kept pausing every 10 seconds or so again. Now the one that was working wants me to update the software again, I do so reluctantly, and when I do the update and it restarts it freezes during the restart and I have to unplug it to get it to work again without finishing the death update...... On a side note I did contact Samsung and their help desk was terrible, they blamed my ISP for the player not connecting to the internet and said there was nothing they could do without it having connection.

I usually love all Samsung products, but this one is disappointing. It comes with a couple of popular apps (YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc.) but when you are wanting to download a different popular app that isn't already there, you won't be able to. Previous versions of their BluRay players included the SmartHub, but this one doesn't. Sad day for Samsung lovers.

I have had this product for 5 weeks and the last 3 I have been trying to get it connected to my wi fi. .

Its an ok bluray player, the wifi on it kinda sucks but it can be hooked up with a wire to ur modem

Great product but needs ethernet hook up to connect to the wifi. Had to take it back and upgrade.

The setup was easy and the system worked perfectly for about a week. After a week, the remote could not power up or operate the player and player would display the options screen with no response. The problem was not the remote; the remote could not operate the player, but it could operate my Samsung TV. The player would not respond to the remote; I would have to manually turn the power off and on using the power button on the player. I was able to manually open and close the DVD tray, but was unable to play any DVDs. The only solution was to disconnect the power and/or HDMI cable to reboot the player. I do not always have this issue with the player, but the fact that it happens at all is an issue. I am glad I purchased the Best Buy extended warranty so I will be returning the player for a different brand. Reading the reviews, I noticed this issue is not limited to my player.

System has access to over 200 streaming applications except amazon prime and vudu

This device plays both dvd's and blu-rays. It also has "smart" ability to access to certain apps.
