too much money for what get would prefer smaller less expensive unit

I have had a number of issues with this blu-ray player. For one thing, THERE IS NO INDICATOR LIGHT. Samsung - why on earth did you do this? I even heard a popular radio host complain about this and someone called into the show to complain as well! I understand it seems like a small complaint but it causes so much confusion and frustration. Which brings me to my next point: that this player has gone completely unresponsive twice in the six months I've had it. Troubleshooting was extremely difficult and frustrating without an indicator light. I had no idea if my remote or the power/ eject buttons weren't working, if my hdmi cables/ my TV were the problem or if it was even powered on at all. I don't watch movies very frequently, so after a week or so when I was too busy to return it I tried it and it suddenly worked. At the five month mark when it happened again it felt too late to return, so I still have it. Each time it's 'died' on me, passing time has been the only thing to solve it. The picture quality is good and it runs smoothly, even if it's a little loud. If you're looking for a blu-ray player for an extra room, one of your kids or just want one for the occasional movie, this will work fine. If you're looking for a really good blu-ray player and plan on using it frequently, spend the extra money on a different model (or go for the 4K players at this point).

Having a little issues with it. Having to unplug to get it to work after every use.

Got this product home and loved it for a while. Then after a year it won't turn on :(

After updating firmware to v.1005 on 4/13/15, Netflix works fine. (Update took <2 min with internet via FIOS 25/25 ) Need to reset network after update. Picture is excellent. This player has WiFi and Ethernet. USB on front. Digital audio on back. HDMI out. Does not have HBO Go app yet (maybe they will add it), but does have Amazon. J5700 (2015 model) is improved over F5700 (2014 model). Front is curved. No power light, but it is pretty obvious when it is on/off. So far I am very pleased.

Bulky large DVD doesn't come with extras compares with DVD half price of this

Sure it's cheap, but I can't believe it is this cheap. I love Samsung but they failed majorly here. I can't believe it doesn't have a small light to indicate if it is on/off. Secondly, it leads you to believe that it offers hundreds of apps. It offers 4, Netflix, Pandora Hulu, You Tube and (after logging into some Norwegian app to get the other "100" of 2nd hand apps). (yeah, like I want all the world to know my data...). There's no way to download apps like ACORN or BRITBOX. And it's SLOW to load the apps. I just wanted a 2nd blu-ray for the bedroom. This one keeps me up at night :( . Sticking with my ROKU. Bring back dumb blu-rays please...

This Samsung player is ok just have some freezing problems every wonce in a while

Bought it used, now I see why, the eject button doesn't work at all. But over all okay.

This is a pretty good dvd player but has a hard time connecting to the wifi network

Had to return/exchange this for another. The other worked fine.

Returned the first one after it would not turn on, second one acted identically. Already had a working Blu-ray in same location, just wanted wi-fi capability. Must be a bad mfg run unfortunately. Returning the 2nd one and will purchase a different model/brand.

Purchased in Aug and am having to return in Dec because it will not turn on.

You dont know if this DVD player is on; there are no lights to indicate. Also, it died shortly after i bought it and best buy would not take it back; had to go through the mfr. Best Buy gets less than one star for its reaction to the problem with this DvD player.

I just wish the player would show it was playing like show a time.

Never in my life have I had any Device that gives no indication Whether it is on or off. There is no indicator light! If something does not work I have to get up and try the power button manually to see if that is the problem.

set up is harder than need be since remote poor way to enter data but it works
