I bought this bluray player because it had wifi and I wanted to be able to watch Netflix, YouTube, HBOGO etc.. well the wifi could not connect.. I tried several times.. I called Samsung customer service and they said my bluray needed to be updated but it might not fix the problem... at this point I was so frustrated that I decided to take it back and bought a Sony instead.. it connected on the first try.. needless to say I am very happy with Sony.. I love Samsung products, but this bluray was a dissappointment.. =(

loved it until the automatic update came thru and it would no longer connect to internet. a call to Samsung, a service repair and 6 more calls later still wont connect to internet

Rarely connects to my wifi! I have a wifi setup that can reach up to 26,000 sq. Feet. This player is about 15 feet directly below on the next floor down. Very frustrating!

Doesn't play all formats of DVDs. Unit doesn't have an on/off light on front to tell when unit is active. Disappointing lack of basic features that should be included.

Picture quality comes through okay, but the apps freeze off and on. Not always reliable and not sure it;s the remote or the DVD player itself.

Have had to replace it twice. Quality average but you can never when the machine is on or off. Be careful not to get the wired version vs wireless.

I bought this blu-ray because it would read all code discs and go online to watch netflix but it will not go online at all. Every time you try to pull up netflix it tells you your clock needs to be reset. This blu-ray was programmed in London and will not allow you to change time or location. Samsung knows this problem is happening and wants you to ship the blu-ray player back to them. I tried two different players and they all have the same problem so I returned it and bought another brand.

I've had this blu-ray player since 6/21/18, and now two years later to the date almost, it will not stop turning on and off. I've contacted Samsung and they're "aware of the issue". Online I've found many people have suddenly had this issue with their players. I have spent thousands on Samsung products as they are primarily used in my home but will not in the future if they can't rectify this.

Has great features, but the first one I bought froze on me and so I turned it off, but it wouldn't turn back on. This should not be happening from Samsung.

Just wish I could tell when it’s on or off. This would be a very helpful feature.

Simply put, if you want a blu-ray player for streaming, you need to look elsewhere. This item may work for a month or two, but will soon be unable to connect to your wireless network. Purchasing this item is a complete waste of time and money. If you want a quality blu-ray player, do not purchase one from Samsung. You will just end up buying another one from a different company in the near future. I only gave it a one star rating because giving it zero was not an option.

Slower than molasses . Rarely Connects to Internet. No power light . Yep Samsung makes great tvs but horrible players.

No light on the thing to tell you if it's on or off. Several times it has froze up and had to unplug it to reboot it.

Everything works great except for internet connectivity. I have to enter the security code every time it starts up and then it will drop connection randomly.

This seems like a great price for a great item. UNTIL you try to make it connect to the Internet. It may connect once or twice if you're lucky. But I have found it consistently fails to connect for no reason. In trying to figure it out, I see that this is a known problem being experienced by many owners. I have tried resetting, repositioning, etc. All to no avail. And now I am 3 days past the return window. Don't buy this.

I bought a Sony BD-1700, BD-3700 and a BD- 5700, they all clamped the output so that it was slow and went in and out while streaming.

I ended up returning this device because it would not link to my wifi no matter where I placed it in the house. Also annoying that there is no on light.

Unit has good features and connects easy to the wireless, issue is the power button quit working after 1 month of use. Unit is being replaced under warranty.

Bought this DVD player and it has a lot of options but it hasn’t even lasted a year yet and it freezes up and skips or doesn’t play.

not as responsive as I expected it to be compare to the old one it replaced. Remote, or the interaction with the remote and devise is terrible
