Samsung Blu ray player

With this new blu ray player we watch bluray DVDs and it kicks off. Then when I restart it again I gotta fast forward to where I was in the movie. This happens numerous times watching a movie. The most was 5x. It gets irritating and old. After awhile you don't want to even watch the movie anymore.

Phenomenal picture quality

I have yet to see how the player actually works. I also stopped into Best Buy for help, I was directed to the customer service phone line. I have made 3 calls all lasting about 45 minutes and got no where. I can't really rate the player without all functions on the tv activated.

That being said, what a piece of crap. Because its open box I can't return it. I got it to stream, since my TV is not smart. The streaming format is a joke. I can't add any decent apps only the crap it offers. It also drops out all the time. Junk!

Stay away, don't buy

However, when i had to do a software update, it does not recognize my network anymore. I have gone through numerous ways to try to connect and samsung was no help at all. They don't seem to know what is going on. I have read other reviews on the internet after have this problem and it seems to be very common. What a waste of money.

For the first 2 months it was then it would not connect to wireless or ethernet to internet for the smart app use. I sent to samsung under warranty repair and they sent it back. Same issue. Now Im just using it for a simple DVD player, which was my original intent. Bummer that the extra apps (netflix, pandora amazon video) are useless.

One year and bust.

I sent it into Samsung to be repaired and it is now doing the same thing. It also takes multiple loads to read regular discs now. I would highly look at a different models or brands. I've always been s big supporter of Samsung and this ruined it for me.

Only Samsung Disappointment

Called Samsung and they would blame my internet connection even though every other device in my home was working just fine. Made me restart and reset my router and modem several times but would not admit that it was a problem with the blu ray player

Sometimes it won’t connect to the internet and other times it won’t load the few apps you can get. The remote doesn’t turn the tv off, even though there’s an option for TV. I’m looking to buy another one. What a waste of money

Update screws up unit

Then the player did an automatic update and we could no longer connect to our home network. I did some research online and found out that this is a known problem with no solution. We had to return the unit since we use it mostly to watch things like Netflix over our home network.

Terrible

Even using the buttons on the unit itself won't work. Only way to get it to work again is by unplugging it and plugging it back in

I took it home, all worked fine until I did the update. After the update, it would not connect to the network. I returned it for another one and the same thing happened. I called Samsung support and they offered no solution. Don't waste your money or time on this one - get the Sony!
