This player fits nicely in the limited space I have. Great for Netflix , blu ray playing etc. Slight confusion with remembering to tell devise to switch to memory key if a dvd is still in player. Remembers last thing it ran, be it dvd or off a key.

See review from James on Oct 22, 2017. I could have posted his same review. Units works only now and then. Front buttons don't work and remote doesn't work until you unplug unit and apparently let it reset. Then it works again for a day or two and then it does the same thing again. I didn't call Samsung. I tossed it in the trash after dealing with it for too long. Samsung...No it's not the power source or the operator, it must be a faulty circuit board in the unit. Also its needs a power light so we know its on. From the reviews it appears some units work fine. I have other Samsung products and love them. Buyer beware on this Samsung product.

Perfect working blu ray player absolutely no problems!

Works really well in my bedroom, better than my Roku 3.

The power buttons on the DVD player itself does not have a red indicator light. So my problem with this is- i never knew if I had left it on or off during the night. The buttons are also very hard to touch - if you can understand what I mean- ex. it wasn't like a soft press to shut off. The shape of this model is curved in the front, additionally with a ribbed texture. This product does not come with the electronic cord you need to connect to your TV, you will need to purchase that seperatley (unless you have it already).

I read all reviews on this product and it the reviews said all good things and the firm ware updates real quick

We bought this for our parents for Christmas. I’m boxing and set up as a snap and within minutes they were up and running. They use this mainly for streaming Netflix.

So when hooking it up I noticed it didn't have a power light indicator so I didn't know if it was on or off. Then after getting it hooked up, it then shutdown on me so I had to unplug it. Then it happened 3 more times so I will be taking it back first thing tomorrow.

I have had my model for about two years now and I have had issues with it from the first week. I have to preform a hard reset of the device about once a month because it stops connecting to apps and won;t stream anything. Today after spending an hour online with HULU customer support because even the hard reset wouldn't work, I was told this model is no longer supported for app updates so I can't use it to stream HULU at all, so now I have to replace the device if I want to actually use the apps I am paying for. Save your money people, definitely not worth it for a streaming device.

Terrible blueray, problems connecting to Netflix, sometimes it worked most times not. It said we had Internet connection problems, even though no Such problems with our other devices, and the other blueray we have in another room worked fine. Could not for the life of me figure out was wrong. We only had this blueray for a day, took it back and got another brand, so far so good with that one. Stay as far away this blue ray as you can!!

Good picture and easy to use. "Smart" features are lacking although it does allow access to video stored on network disk.

WiFI is totally unreliable. I have gotten to use Wifi twice out the dozens of times I have tried to connect. It "sees" my router, but refuses the ID. 1 out of 10 attempts MAY connect. Mostly I just finally give up. Yes, I have reset the router...many times. All my phones, laptops, tablets and desktops connect flawlessly. Yes I have updated the firmware..twice. As mentioned numerous times, need a power light on front. I would happily return it if BestBuy did not have such a restrictive policy.

I bought this unit to replace an older Samsung Blu-Ray. I selected a Samsung because our TV is also made by Samsung. Installation was a snap and the instructions are pretty easy. The weak point is the unit's inability to connect to our wireless network. It detected our wifi just fine and I input the password however the player never connected to the network. The whole reason we bought the unit was on account of the ability to connect wirelessly so it is essentially worthless to us.

This product performs exactly as it stated it would. That was reassuring to know I received what I paid for.

it was easy to set up and work with my home wifi. I don't have cable in the room I have it set up in, so it is nice to have the Netflix hook up.

So far so good. I got this as a Christmas gift for my father and he loves it. It's played everything with no issue. The wifi is an added bonus as I purchased this on sale for the price of the lower model.

Only issue I have is that there is no way to tell if it is on by looking at the device.... no light or anything when turned on.
