    Ok for playing Blu-rays - Bad for streaming

    It plays discs ok but other than that it's pretty bad. The apps are slow to load and use. The worst part is you are limited to adding apps from the Opera TV store, which is awful! You can only add apps from this store... there is no access to the Samsung Appstore. The Opera Store has very few apps and even fewer name brand apps. Don't get this expecting to have a streaming player.

    Turns on by itself, have to unplug it and plug back in to get it turn on sometimes, and new problem just started...have to unplug and plug back in for sound to work. Complete waste of money. Best Buy won't take it back because it was past the 15 day return period when I finally took it out of the box to hook it up, and Samsung will only let me ship it to them for them to try to fix it. This is the first time I've been completely disgusted with a Samsung product.

    It is easy to setup. We use it to play DVDs and Netflix. Connected to Netflix easily. Only drawback is lack of On/Off indicator light (but I suppose this makes it more Green).

    Great looking Blu-Ray player, but was disappointed in the fact that it does not have a on-off indicator light. Who's idea was that???? It makes it a little difficult when setting it up, because you're not quite sure if its on or not. Once I got through that process it was fine.

    Very easy to set up to TV and Bose system. Not worth the money. Does not have HBO Go, AMC, ABC etc..

    The last Samsung Blu-Ray player I purchased was nice and thin, but it was too long. This Blu-Ray player is low profile and much shorter. Exactly what I needed.

    Turns your current flat screen into a SMART TV capable flat screen. Access NETFLIX, HULU, etc. BLUE-RAY player works great. Best one out there for value.

    Samsung BDJ 7500 Does Not Play Bu Ray Disks!

    I have purchased two of these models and both do not play Blu Ray Disks consistently. This model does not play Blu Ray disks 90% of the time. This is totally unacceptable for a brand new product. I have spend hours trying to figure out why it will not play blue ray disks. And when it did play a disk, if you were to stop, and then play again - it doesn't go back to where you left off - it goes right back to the very beginning of the movie! How annoying!! And, yes I even called Samsung support TWO TIMES!! One time they said it needed a new update - I did this and still the same result. I bought two of these Samsung BDJ 7500 models and I am returning both for a REFUND because they do not play blu ray disks. I'm going to try a new brand.

    The worst experience I have ever had with a compan

    I got this Bluray player for Christmas. It's now the beginning of March and I've only been able to use it for a week. After a week, it started not connecting to the Wifi, but it would work again if I unplugged it and plugged it back in. After a week of that, it stopped connecting altogether. I use the chat support for some troubleshooting a couple times, nothing works, so they have me send it in for repairs. When I get it back, it had the troubleshooting instructions taped to it. I set it back up, try and connect, it doesn't work. I go back to the support line, they insist on doing the same troubleshooting I've done about a dozen times at that point. Nothing. They have me send it back in. I get it back and, again, it has the troubleshooting instructions taped to it. I try it out, and it's still not working. Back to the support line, and they tell me the only thing I can do is to send it in for a third time for "repairs," but they tell me to list all of my previous ticket numbers on my package so it's clear this wasn't the first time. So, I'm completely convinced that Samsung's idea of repairs is to have you send it in and they send it back with those instructions they know you've already done through their support lines without even bothering to look at it or fix it at all. A few days after it arrives at the repair center for the third time, I get a call finally offering to just send me a new player, which I'd been asking for since the first time I got it back still not working and they wouldn't even consider it. I was told I'd get the new player in 7-10 days. Almost two weeks later, I still haven't gotten it, so I check in with their support line again, and they tell me that my request is "accepted" but still "under consideration with the team" and they're "preparing the document" needed to send it to me. So it's been almost two weeks and they haven't filled out the form? I liked the Bluray player just fine for the week it was working and will be perfectly satisfied once I hopefully eventually get one that works but never. again. with Samsung. This has been such an outrageous experience. I've had incredible customer service with plenty of other electronics companies and would much rather stay with them.

    Bought this mostly for the smart features

    We do not really watch DVDs anymore. The primary reason for the purchase was to have the smart features available on our bedroom TV. My only complaint is that Samsung does not have the HBO GO, HBO NOW, MAX GO or SHOWTIME apps on the blue ray player. However, Hulu is on it and works good. The blue ray player also loads faster than the smart tvs we have in the house.

    Bought for my daughter. Simple 1 wire hookup, and she has been watching movies and streaming Hulu and Netflix non-stop since.
