The read/write speed is clearly more than double the internal HDD, and the USB 3.0 port is not a bottleneck compared to the internal SATA connection. Long story short: games load faster. Assets, resources, textures all stream/load faster. Games run better. Especially demanding expansive open world games.

Small in size but huge in capability's

I purchased this to make the transferring of info from my old HP computer to the new HP computer. It was a breeze to do, didn't lose any files or important data in the process. This "compact" external drive is capable of holding a lot of information, pictures, etc.

Works well with my camera.

The size is also convenient and can easily be mounted to the camera without taking much room. The drive came with two short cables. I’m very satisfied and I plan to get another T5 drive. On a separate note I found that the Samsung T7 does not work with the Blackmagic camera.
