This is a very good investment for fast gameplay loading times and better rendering across any game. I’ve played various heavy graphic games like Skyrim and I’m very pleased with the results. Even works with Resident Evil 7 and Sekiro! Would recommend!

A little pricey but very necessary for video editing. The Samsung T5 is well worth the price for working with large files with ease. The build is solid and very portable. The fast read and write speeds are a must for working with 4K video and large files.

Samsung is usually the best when it comes to PC storage. Quality well built and speed is exactly as you would expect for a SSD external with a capable USB 3.1 computer whether it is an Apple or a Windows PC. It comes with both USB-Type C and Type A connectors so no matter what connections you have on your computer you don't have to buy an additional connectors. Speed always differs depending on your hardware. I have seen people complain because they think it is slow because they were copying from an older computer with an old mechanical drive. So of course the speeds are going to be terrible. You want the maximum transfer read and write speed make sure your hardware can match the speeds.

Switched my late 2012 Mac Mini (Core i7) to boot off the external Samsung T5 USB-3 SSD instead of the internal drive after cloning the internal drive to the SSD. The system is now boots and launches programs much faster. It used to be so slow that it was almost unusable, now it feels nearly as fast as a new 2019 Mac Mini.

My iMac 27 (2015) with a HD had become too slow to use. I installed MacOS on this drive and use it as the primary drive. My computer runes 1.5x faster!. I use the internal HD as my TimeMachine backup drive. This inexpensive addition gave me the speed I needed without the scary process of opening an iMac.

This is good product; the speed is lightning. It has small size and good design too. I would like to have the blue color for the 1T version but they only have blue for 500 GB... Price is a bit high as well.

Purchased to hold all media files - videos, pics and movies. Transferred all data and still have plenty of room to expand. My laptop is thankful because it is back to normal processing speeds. Smart buy for those that have a lot of space being utilized by media files. Very easy to access data as well.

fast and easy installation. the samsung migrate software to clone the drive is AWESOME. You can only use the software to clone to a samsung drive. They make the best ssd's! If you do not have an ssd you have been missing out on life! the computer runs much faster with one!

First time buying a SSD and am very pleased with the performance as an external drive. Some basic setup is required but only took a minute. I copied 700GB of data from my laptop's internal drive over to the SSD, and now use the SSD as my primary source for data files. I'm ready to upgrade to a 2TB drive now!

I have a Mac mini mid 2012 with the original i7,8gb of ram,and the 1tb hdd.It had slowed down over the years to almost unusable.I got this Samsung T-5 SSD,made it a bootable clone of my Mac hard drive,and now my Mac is way faster than it was when it was brand new.Wish I would of done this a long time ago.

Super fast same day delivery on this screaming fast SSD. I purchased it for my wife to store her photos on while she edits them and it isn't any slower than the internal SSD in her Macbook Pro, no noticeable lag when stored on the drive. Highly recommend!

I was having trouble with my Plex server and Channels server on a Nividia Shield. The flashsticks and regular external HDs just did not cut it. The T5 took care of all that. No more stuttering, etc. Videos start quickly. Very pleased. It was worth the extra expense. All works like it should. Happy!
