    I use this as the hard drive for my simple little plex server I run, and it works completely fine! It was highly recommended and have had no issues. It's a little more expensive than using a flashdrive for storage, but this solid state as far as I understand is more reliable against losing data, so having a safe place to store something important like my wedding video is also hard to put a price on. So It's worth it to me.

    I bought this external SSD to use as a Time Machine backup drive for my Macbook Air. Since 1TB is more than I needed, I re-partitioned it into two 500GB partitions, one formatted for Time Machine and one formatted with EXFAT so I could plug it into both the Air and my Windows box to share files. It has worked really well for both of these uses.
