This ssd is actually so compact and very fast. Great for anything.

Palm size. Blackmagic Disk Speed Test shows 420 Mbps Read and Write via USB 3.0 on a Mac mini late 2012 with 500Gb Samsung SSD and 16Gb RAM. Accidentally connected to USB 2.0. Boot time went from 18 seconds to 75, and Blackmagic showed 42 & 38 Mbps, so absolutely requires USB 3.0 connection. Runs cool.

I'm using mine for storing Ableton project files on my 2017 MBP, and honestly this has been great so far. Don't notice much of a hit reading or writing compared to the built-in drive. Sure, it's not as cost effective as say a WD MyPassport, but this is a particularly enticing alternative to sinking the inflated cost for a larger drive on basically anything Apple or comparable Windows systems.

The external hard drive is compact, and works super fast. A must have for backup.

I got this specifically to increase load times with PUBG on Xbox since my 7200RPM EXT HDD was not cutting it enough to keep my 43 year old brother from crying. If you want better performance on Xbox...buy it. Good design and comes with cables for the Xbox and also USBC if you want to use it with a lappy or something (but what a waste that would be to not use it with an Xbox??!)

This works great for the Xbox one! I booted up my game in seconds.

First impressions are very good. I transferred a batch of 21,800 files (18.2GB) in 1 minute 55 seconds from an Intel Gen 8 NUC (also USB 3.1). The T5 only got up to 43C internally. On an earlier (not timed, unfortunately) transfer of 8,500 files (51.8GB) the max temp was 47C, (This is a replacement for at SanDisk Extreme 510 (480GB) -- which sometimes prevents my laptop from booting, if attached.)

if you have a use for travel storage you cant go wrong with this product. Solid State Drive gives you the best access speed and with no moving parts it makes sure you don't damage your data when you are on the go with it. Or if you are like me and like keeping things organized, external drives are great to use to keep all your data organized. A drive for every type of data you could have.
