Bought this to edit my projects off of, so that my laptop's storage wouldn't be taken up as that would slow it down. so far it's been a solid SSD. would recommend getting this and the Lacie HD to transfer files to after you're done.

It's a faster than typical drive (Solid State) and it provides cables for both USB 3 and USB C. This makes it more desirable than any other USB portable drive unless the price is your first consideration. It costs more but is not unreasonably expensive so I recommend it.

The Samsung solid state drives are super fast and sufficient my use. I mainly use them for music and the transfer rate is smoking fast! The only issue I've found with these drives is that sometimes the cord doesn't connect securely to the drive which causes this to disconnect and sometimes not at the right timing. I've only had this done on one of these and I've purchase a couple of them back to back... I have not had this issue with the latest one and hopefully it won't happen again.

This is my secont T5 SSD drive and I really like these comparred to various other external drives I have used. The work great, have a quality build and appearance to them. I can't think of any reason to rate this lower than a full five stars.

Works perfectly with my Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4k! With the massive file sizes produced by the camera, mounting this with my rig allows me to get over an hours worth of constant recording before needing to plug into my laptop and copy the files over.

Works great! Able to easily store extra files on this and it is password protected so your items remain private. Also, it gives and breakdown of how much storage is remaining when initially plugged in. Just plug it in and use it.

Got the T5, to store VM for Ubuntu and Windows and have the ability to run VMWare on different systems. I found the SSD drive to be as fast as the one on the MacBook, used as time machine storage. You will find it as great backup device and an extension to the built-in device.

I’m using this so I could boot to Mojave to run software not supported on Catalina. It’s pretty darn quick. I have another that I purchased in January for external file storage when using the iMac that has an internal 256 GB SSD.

I bought Samsung because they are the pioneers in Solid State Drives. I had to transfer a huge file to my new external drive and it took a couple of minutes. Non-SSD took about 15-20 minutes. Build quality is great.

I use this to speed up my PS4 games loading times God of War and red dead. It makes a difference and is fun to see the difference. In terms of otter applications it's neat to use on my Mac with windows bootcamp so much faster than the USB stick!

This is our second purchase. Son loves to download his Ps4 games to back up to these devices. No moving parts and a must have. I owned a passport drive and it failed, I lost everhything it was awful. Now I do SSD all the way.

I am currently using this drive in my Tesla Model 3 and it works perfectly for the Dash Camera to store the video clips. It is small enough and tucks nicely in the cubby. Would highly recommend over a flash drive/thumb drive.

One of the best, if not THE best portable SSD. If there is one thing Samsung does right, it's storage. You won't regret getting this, but wait for a good deal. USB-C makes it all the more sweeter to use.

Games on my XBox One X load approximately 30 to 40% faster. Its a small and pricy luxury to have but if you want the best you buy something like this. I keep only a few “most-played” games on this drive because it is relatively small at only 500 GB.

Hard drive is really fast use it for my surface pro for my music daw and it is perfect I store alot of my sounds on there so I dont have to take a bulkier drive with me and I love the fact that it also acts as a storage device for my phone

It is fast, quiet, small, but it is expensive. I look forward to SSD prices coming down in the future.

Great little SSD with blazing fast transfer speeds. Can play the Forza series on ultra settings right from the drive with zero lag. My onboard SATA drive bogged down frequently, this little demon screams. Love it.

Got one of these for a class where we install windows OS dozens of times, needless to say compared to a hard drive everything was 100 times faster. Stop buying and using mechanical hard drives, get ssds.

This drive is amazing and works very well. It is one of the few drives that work in my blackmagic pocket cinema camera 4K. The drive is super fast and allows me to shoot and edit 4K raw from the same drive.

Got me a 2017 iMac with that nasty built in HDD that’s slower than turtles. Formatted this SSD and made it my primary drive and wooo weee what a night & day difference. Excellent speeds and no slow downs at all. Very happy.
