Great drive, compact portable and most important it is very durable. Fast read and write speeds this is a must for anyone on the go that needs to safely store their content without a hassle.

The Samsung T5 500GB External Solid State drive is an excellent back-up medium. I used it to replace a traditional 1TB drive. I can carry the Samsung SS drive with me, like an overlarge USB stick. It was a very good value for the money.

This drive is top notch and very fast, I was able to benchmark it and get close to regular sata ssd speeds. Copying a 12 gig file too almost no time. This is a must have for MacBook owners!

I started copying some very large folders (about 100 GB) from my old laptop on to an older Passport external hd. After 3 hours of copying, I cancelled it and attached the Scandisk SSD and started the same copy. It copied from my old computer in about 1 1/2 hours. When I loaded the copied files to my new HP Spectre, it only took 50 minutes. Now that is amazing!!!!!. The Scandisk ssd is about the sizes of a credit card and about 1/4th inch thick. So far, it's compatible with all my older gadgets. It comes with both a USB cord and a USB-c cord. I chose the Scandisk SSD external drive after reading all the great reviews and it's certainly living up to them.

This little guy is always waiting to jump when you call. Won't even take a second to wake up and spring into action. It's lightning fast. (Using it on Linux with Ext4 format & connected to USB 3.1.) I'm counting on it to last.

Very nice product. If feels really sturdy and uploads and downloads fast. It says it connects to my Samsung s6 however the cable to do that isn't included. Comes with standard usb c to usb and usb c to usb c. when I need usb c to micro usb.

This is a good SSD disk. We have several other USB disk, but this one is the best one. Fast, easy to carry.

I work as a photographer. This drive is used on a daily basis. I can't say enough of how well it's held up in the last year of use. Typically, after a year, my drives start having issues connecting. This little guy is fast and reliable.

This is my second one for a different use. Plug and play on Mac or Window laptops. No issues of any kind. Newer version is faster... but as a CFO, this one is faster than I am. Best. Thanks. g George Alexander

Purchased this SSD for memory upgrade for my Mac Mini. Downloaded new OS Mojave into it and my Mac runs from this SSD now. Drastically improved speed and overall performance. Not an expensive upgrade but notebale improvement.

I was using the Sandisk portable SSD and (fortunately) I accidentally lost it. This one I got to replace it is so much faster. I had heard of it but never used it. I’m glad I’ve got it and won’t buy any other brand. This T5 is amazing

This drive is perfect for large sound libraries or various types of multimedia projects. (Photos, games, etc.) I would recommend this to anyone with limited disk space.

Ive always been a fan of samsung products and their hard drives are no exception. The tiny sturdy drive could fit in your pocket and none would be the wiser. I needed a small drive for take to and from school. This is perfect.

With this solid state hard drive, I never have to worry when I carry it in my book bag. I've accidentally damaged two external standard spinning HDs while carrying them around in my bag. No more worries.

Had a portable 1 TB hard drive and was extremely slow when adding files even though I had not yet utilitied nearly half of the storage space. Switched to this one and it worked exceptionally well.

This is a solid SSD! Easy to use and the software for locking and unlocking is very intuitive. Make sure to read the warnings before locking as you will have to wipe your data if you forget the password

It works very well, quite fast compared to a portable mechanical harddrive, I had to purchase it because I'm in a class that runs virtual machines off our portable drives, a harddrive took hours, this drive takes a minute or two instead.

This is a good ssd and it is small. Minor things I don’t care about includes the cable and the slippery feel. The software is great and works well on windows but it does not work on my MacBook Pro. As long as you don’t need to use the ssd with a Mac, you will do fine. I found instructions online to fix the connectivity issue but it does not work. Samsung need to fix this with a firmware update.

the internal mechanical drive on a 24 inch iMac is really slow. Rather than open up and try to replace with SSD, added this and chose as my boot drive. So much faster and cheaper solution on a budget.
