Gets a little hot when transferring large files.

It also heated up the device a good bit more than I expected. It wasn't so hot that I couldn't pick it up, but it was a concern. Transfer of smaller files goes quickly and the device remains cool. If you use this for video editing of larger files, I would recommend good ventilation to deal with any heat.
