I feel confident in buying a Samsung as I haven't had a problem with them and they are known to be reliable. The reason I'm upping the notch to 5 stars, however, is the price. Flash memory prices are cyclical but when they are so low as when I bought this drive, why bother with a conventional disc drive? The super-speed and silence of these drives far outweigh the extra money.

Very small and portable

Only complaint is that occasionally it seems to get "stuck" when performing a backup and doesn't complete it. In those circumstances I have had to power down my iMac and restart it.
