My main PC is a Microsoft Surface Pro. It is a great machine. I've found most everything I need without tearing the machine apart (which I could not do). While internal SSD DRIVES have become affordable, the external SSD drives have been out of my price range. But with the Samsung SSD I gotta fast, small hard drive with ample storage as well.

Sleek and simple portable memory for work and gaming. Initially bought to use for huge media transfers between work and home. Its final stop is being used as expandable storage for Xbox. Loaded games onto it to play for faster load times than the internal storage of the Xbox One X.

I’m an audio engineer/producer and I use these drives everyday. I use one to store my samples and the other to run my ProTools sessions. They are super fast and easy to transport. Without a spinning disk, they are also durable. Its an exciting time for portable data storage as SSDs have become so affordable. Onward!

I am a professional photographer and it is great to have something like this that is fast and small to download images from my SD cards while in the field. The read and write speeds are great. It is small and light so you can put it in a shirt pocket without weighing it down. It has been a great product so far.

This thing is working well. It’s incredibly small. Comes with usbC and regular usb cables. I use it as a scratch disk on my 2017 15" Macbook Pro for Adobe Premiere. Previews and renders happen much faster. Plus I have more space now for stuff. Solid product. Will get more for other digital storage needs as the price goes down.

Plenty of storage, portable, and quick data transfer

It isn't Thunderbolt 3, but it is plenty fast enough for day to day usage. The drive is physically much smaller than an external spinning hard drive. It also includes USB-C to USB-C AND USB-C to USB-A cables, which are very high quality and include an attached cable wrap, if you like to keep them neat.

I bent my flash drive and while trying to get it restored, I was told to get an SSD instead. This exact model was recommended by our IT guy at work. I love it. It's fast and holds much more than my flash drive. I especially love how it's password protected. I'm really tempted to buy another one!

As a photographer speed is priority number one (time is money). This thing is FAST. We have 2 and will buy a 3rd soon.

Much small than I was expecting. Love the design and color choices. However, I wish the software worked with the latest version of the MacOS. The SSD does have hardware encryption (but I haven't been able to get that to work). On the plus side it is very fast!

This is my 3rd Samsung T5. Never a hiccup for the past year+. I bought my first one for more than twice the price so the SSD technology is getting less expensive. We still must pay more for the speed and reliability but these factors are important to what I do and the peace of mind they provide.

I like how small and portable this drive is. 500G is ideal and I got rid of several small flash drives I've been lugging around, keeping only one for quick transfers. The security features work nicely, and load up instantly when the drive is connected.

I am using this as my internal memory for my Nvidia Shield. All in one = High speed SSD, great micro sized enclosure, and high speed cable. Don't bother trying to save $15 and make your own, you will have issues with enclosure compatibility. Zero issues, really like this device.

I will say is was very impressed with the size and performance of this drive it was a tough call between this and another scandisk extreme whiz is great but I’m glad I made the call super fast and small ssd makes an AWSOME makes a great portable steam and game drive

I've bought many of these hard drives from Best Buy over the years (more than 5 in the past 3 years alone) to back up 4K video files from my camera, as well as pictures and files. The response time for copying from my camera or computer is extremely fast (faster than my actual computer hard drive), and performance remains rock-solid and doesn't diminish even when the hard drive is completely full. The performance is also more than solid enough to do video editing right off the drive with no lag or load time. Reliability is excellent; as I mentioned, I've been using a number of these drives for years and have never had a failure. Easy to use with both a Mac and PC with no compatibility issues. These are my go-to portable drives, and whenever I need a new one, this is the brand and model I order. For the price, you can't buy anything better.

I wanted to get several gigabits of pictures off of my computer and decided to use this drive from Samsung. Very compact, almost to the point of being easy to lose. The only negative I have found so far is it did get warm while transferring my pictures. I would definitely go this way again.
