I have been using a previous Samsung SSD for over two years and hasn't failed me yet. Easy to store images and data.

It's small and comes with 2 types of connection cables which I appreciate. Hopefully I won't have to buy another one since its 4TB but if I did because I need extra storage I'll get this one again!

It's 10 times faster than my old hard drive external storage. It performs even better then I expected. The size makes it very easy to carry all my important data with me. It's cheaper to buy a second one as a back up and replace my cloud storage. No more internet or tech issues with paid cloud storage. Highly recommend this product!

Great secondary storage for laptops

I have a 1TB drive in my Macbook Pro and I was running out of space because of how large my photo library has become since I got a full frame camera and have been storing raws and using Lightroom (DMGs are stupid big.) I have also have several Steam games stored on it and they run just fine. I've benchmarked the drive and it consistently gives me ~850MB/s reads and writes excluding file system overhead, so it's likely saturating the 10Gbps USB 3.1 bus on my laptop. I was able to copy my ~380GB photo library in under 10 minutes. All in all, it's a pretty good deal if you get it while it's on sale like I did for $140. With that said, always remember to keep a backup. I just rolled it into my Time Machine (Apple,) backup to my external 8TB rotational media drive for redundancy because devices can and do fail.

Great little device for on the go storage

I have an external hard drive from a few years ago that has a 500gb capacity and this is double that at 1tb but a third of the size. Plus it's Samsung which is always a great product. From TV's to this device Samsung has never let me down. Easy to load, small and convenient- it's great, highly recommended!
