Read a lot of other reviews before deciding on this drive. It has great speed on both read and write from the M1 using the USBC port. I got 680 for both read and write. I highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for an external SSD.

These drives are no longer reliable

Recently, every new one my company and I have bought crash and corrupt immediately after the first use. If you are looking to purchase a drive for anything important, do not buy these as you will most likely have to return.

Comes with the same OEM USB cables. Worked perfectly after formatting the unit to Apple APFS format.

I use the HDD for Time Machine and SSD for day to day

The transfer rates between the drive and Xbox Series S are not SSD fast, but I'd rather transfer from the T7 to the Series S instead of downloading each time (I only have cable internet - gig internet may make this a moot point). This was on sale so it was a better deal than springing for the current Xbox Series 1TB hard drive for more than double the price. Very solid housing for the drive.
