What a disappointment. It was slower than a cheap case I can buy and put my own SSD in it. I got a grand total of about 160MB for a drive that should get up to 10GB/s. It's great for backup, don't I wouldn't recommend it for running anything from.

The maximum transfer speed that can be achieved by the T7 is 1,050 MB/s on a PC that supports USB 3.1 Gen2 and UASP Mode, but the speed may vary depending on your PC environment and the types of data being transferred.
As there are various factors that could affect speed, I would encourage you to call Samsung Customer Support to troubleshoot your issue.

I have several, all working well, though none of them have aged or been heavily used, so I don't yet know about the longevity of them. Only buy when on sale.
