    This is a very solid drive. It is light and yet doesn't feel like it will break at the slightest touch. Samsung says that it can write up to 1,000 MB/sec, but even when transferring from a built in SSD to this SSD over the provided USB-C to USB-C cable I could never get it to go over 700. Don't get me wrong, that is still a really impressive number and faster than any other drive that I've used, so I'd still recommend it, but I think Samsung might be overselling it a bit. The hardware encryption on this is definitely a strong selling point, I think it is the strongest. It takes almost less than a minute to set up and (while I admit I didn't try too hard) I wasn't able to find a way to hack it. If you are looking for something that is small, fast, and secure, this will definitely meet your needs. Oh, and a side note, Samsung boasts about the thermal management on this preventing the drive from overheating, what they don't tell you is that they are achieving that by having this thing radiate heat like crazy, so make sure that you use it in an area where that heat can dissipate.
