It was pretty easy to use with my Mac. I needed to back up my old computer and transfer files to a new MacBook pro. It was a smooth process. Happy with my purchase.

It has just enough storage capacity for when I’m on the go recording video or taking pictures.

I chose this Samsung drive to take advantage of the fast read/write times. New S/X Xbox games must play from the internal drive. Therefore, moving actively played games back and forth between drives quickly is very useful with the Series X. After formatting, the drive has worked very well and does indeed transfer the games back and forth quickly.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the T5 and worked amazing to edit 4K footage both on my 2018 Mac Mini and my 2016 Macbook Pro. Decided to get the T7, and the speeds are definitely a lot faster. On my T5 offloading onto my Mac Mini - about 400gbs of 4K footage would take about 10ish minutes - with the T7 it takes about 4 or 5 minutes. Love it, well definitely get the 2tb when the prices comes down a little.

The price was great, the capacity more than sufficient. It was physically smaller than I expected. However, I planned to use it as an external Steam Library. Caution: this drive gets _really_ hot. Some people think the T7 is just an overclocked T5. It was very fast, as I got the full 10gbps connection. Either way, for non-intense usage it is probably fine, but it was disconnecting intermittently for me under heavy usage. I ended up exchanging it for a different external SSD (WD_BLACK P50).

The Read/Write is vastly quicker which makes editing easier and haven’t ran into any issues yet. Definitely my new go to.
