The reformatting for dedicated Mac use (i.e., no swapping back and forth between Mac and PC) is a bit complicated for a newbie with the different formatting options to select from. But once formatted correctly it is extremely fast and a great option for 2TB of external storage compared to upgrading the Mac's internal storage.

I say this because I am very happy with the product myself and the professional photographers I follow most recommend these as well.

Have bought 2 in a year runs flawless. Cant say that with other brands or NEWER models. A proven Stable work horse. Some come with a protective case but just heats up more..this is perfect ...does get warm in use but not friggin burning hot as some models. Very happy

I bought this to backup all the important files on my laptop incase it stops working before I can afford to buy a new one. Super fast transfer. My only regret is buying the version without the rubber cover. This is one slippery SSD!

My husband got to the store for pick-up a little early and my order was still in a "hold" status, but the in-store representative was kind enough to cancel the purchase and conveniently make a new in-store purchase for the same product. Great experience and product!

The USB-C to USB-C connector that came with it was disconnecting and ejecting the disk from the back of my motherboard. I switched to the USB-A to USB-C cable that came with it and it's been fine since.
