It was pretty easy to use with my Mac. I needed to back up my old computer and transfer files to a new MacBook pro. It was a smooth process. Happy with my purchase.

I have the T5 version of this drive, and that drive performs pretty well, but since this was on sale, I thought I would take a chance. The drive performs so much faster than the T5 version. The copy speeds are really great. I would recommend this drive over the T5 version.

I use it for DAW both at home and on stage. It's fast, it's big, and I have no latency issues at all. Some complain about heat issues, but I have not had any, and I tax it out quite a bit (reading DAW sounds). The only con is the price. I wish it were more around the $200 range, and that it were true Thunderbolt, but that typically doubles the price.

It has just enough storage capacity for when I’m on the go recording video or taking pictures.

Didn’t know that. The internal memory goes quick! This external memory works well and is just a quick USB that we could easily plug in on the backside of the console. Works well!

I got mine for extra storage for my video projects, and so far it seems to be fast enough to edit off of (I shoot with an A7s3, 10 bit, 4k). The transfer speed is insane compared to the HDDs I was using. Would recommend!

It's fast and it's small - it's not going to become a primary storage drive for large video projects at only 1TB, but it works great as a spot to park both a Final Cut Pro X library as well as working media for an active project. Once the project is delivered I tend to dump the data to a slower drive for archiving and wipe this one. Works great!
