But playing games straight from it only gets warm. So far I haven't had any issues. I wouldn't leave ssd unintended when transferring games. On the Xbox side it only got warm never hot.

Online chat and store repair team said it would work for older operating versions. Failed on the very first laptop I tried (NT operating system). Did work on Windows 10. Disappointed.

The Samsung Portable SSD T7 is compatible with a range of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Android. However, it is not supported on older operating systems like Windows NT. The minimum system requirements for the T7 include Windows 7 or later.
