It does get a bit warm but that is to be expected considering the overall size of the drive. The aluminum case dissipates the heat well.

This is an excellent buy for it’s portability, speed, reliability, and more. Samsung will be on my radar for many years to come. For general storage, video/photo editing, and gaming look no further.
