I've tried it on many different products; anything from a flagship Android device, MacBook, Win10 system & a Xbox One X. On the MacBook and Win10 setups, it averages speeds right around 850mb/s. On the Xbox One X console it averages about 490-520mb/s due to the console only having USB 3.0, so the SSD is essentially being bottle-necked, which I knew would be the case from day 1. However, in all cases this drive is ridiculously fast, has really nice build quality, easy to use on any platform and for what you're getting it's definitely worth the price. I've made this the main drive from which I run games off of on my XB1X. I have the stock internal 1TB HDD, a 5TB external USB 3.0 HDD that I download all games and apps to, and then I have this new 1TB SSD that I transfer my most played/current game(s) to because it loads and runs so much faster. Overall, I haven't had it long but I have no complaints, yet. If anything changes I'll be sure to update my review, but as of now I have no cons whatsoever about purchasing this SSD. For the price & the future proof of it being USB 3.2 Gen 2, it really is hard to beat.

No issues at all so far with this drive. I use it for DAW both at home and on stage. It's fast, it's big, and I have no latency issues at all. Some complain about heat issues, but I have not had any, and I tax it out quite a bit (reading DAW sounds). The only con is the price. I wish it were more around the $200 range, and that it were true Thunderbolt, but that typically doubles the price.

Love the compact size and consistent performance of this external hard desk. It works really well and very small so you can move it around when needed.

Its just over the size of a credit card and about as thick as pencil. Works great and is lightening fast. I had a TimeMachine for years tucked away in a cabinet so you wouldn't see it. It crashed and now I have this on my desk, you barely even notice. I used it on my iMac and just story on top of the base mount with a short Thunderbolt cable. So much better than my TimeMachine in backup speed.

this was a Xmas present from my daughter's family to back up mainstage 3 on my MacBook air, have not had to use it for that but have used it to back up pictures

Does the job, has large storage; little stutter when downloading.

I wasn't sure what to expect when buying this was mostly just looking for a decent external that would hold space and wasn't big in size, I got exactly what I was looking for with no strings attached I'd highly recommend this product

Easy to use. Connected to computer and phone to save on data space. Easy to follow software uploaded on computer to keep the drive secure and up to date

It's a great little size to fit in your pocket or a laptop bag. Due to it's USB-C interface, it's fast, versatile to be used with the latest devices as well as backward compatible with the old ones. After experiencing this, will never use the 2.5" external drives.

Sleek and small size and good capacity for me to backup my photos and videos. And reasonably good speed for data transfer.

Bought it as a local drive for making image backups of my desktop PC. Very fast and so far very dependable.

I Like the new SSD drives. I know you can get the older style for 1/3 the price, but I carry mine around and I don't worry about a little bump know and then. They are flat & easy to carry in computer bag. Watch the prices, End of the year is a great time to buy. Note the "gen" numbers. They tell you the transfer speed (and thus the price range). 3.2 gen 2 is about the fastest right now. Give it a few months there will be a faster model (but for more money I expect). Be realistic about the speed you really need. Do you move 100gb in one setting? (That is about 100 normal size movies). If yes then go for the best speed. If not maybe save $40 on the slightly slower (but still amazing) model. I usually limit size to 1-TB. You can get up to 4TB, but that is a lot to lose if it ever does give you a problem. I have 10 of these 1TB models. T-5's and T-7's. USB 3.1 gen 1, thru USB 3.2 gen 2. They all work well so far.

Just get the larger one. Trust me. or you can be like me and buy 500gb drives over many years and then have to carry a case of all these drives like a 2000s CD case.

IT is compact and small yet it holds a lot of space for games, files, or whatever

I'm very happy with the Samsung T7 2TB External SSD! I bought it to expand my laptop simply and quickly. The games I like to play respond super fast now and run without any issues.

Easy to use massive external storage. I use this to save some important files, photos, and videos and it is quick with a lot of space and easy to use. Only 2 drawbacks. Have to download software to lock it and it is a bit pricey.
