    My husband bought this for me on Saturday (I would have written this under his account but he couldn't remember his password) so I was so excited as I am learning to record videos for YouTube and social media. We watched a few videos about this SSD and even though I was holding off so I could buy at least 2TB, my husband went and purchased this one. I like the feature where I can record video directly to the drive using Pro Res for my iPhone 15 Pro. What I don't like is how much storage it takes and when I try to edit the videos on my Macbook Pro, the size of the videos is way too large for it so it lags. Cannot record directly to the drive if it is not in Pro Res. Any video would have to be recorded on your phone and then transferred onto the drive. Oh, I forgot to mention that Samsung does NOT give you any directions on how to use this drive. My past drives I would have to download a driver to transfer files but nothing comes up when I plug it into my phone. The little book they give is absolutely no help. It shows you what cords come with it and where to plug them in. That's all. Went to Samsung's site and again, no help. So finding out the hard way that this drive would not fit my needs. Very disappointing and now I have to deal with a grouchy husband because he feels like he wasted his money and he knows if he returns it, he won't get it all back. He should have listened to me and waited....

    Good memory, bad software

    I got this to back up photos from different laptops. I set up this device on a mac book pro, the software that Samsung asks you to install in order to connect to the drive is a bit clunky, it stopped working on my mac and I lost access to my backed-up photos, I just put it away and have not tried using it in one of my other macs, I wish it was just plug and play

    do not use to play xbox one games

    kept corrupting my games couldn't figure out why my games kept crahsing when playing them off this ssd finally figured out it was corrupting ny games. will be returning for a refund im so disappointed.

    Not for video editiors

    3 hours of my day sat here waiting for files to open from the t7 plus ive had countless other crashes using this DO NOT BUY this for video editing, it is so bad.

    passwords for a device that didn't have one

    worked fine for like two weeks, I had unplugged my computer because some electrical work was being done in my house. this caused the ssd to lock it self (I had opted to not have the security functions) and it seems that its memory was wiped. on top of that you HAVE to take the ssd to Samsung to have it reset so you can use it again because your not allowed to do it your self. tldr; I apparently need a password for a device that didn't have one in the first place and now I'm livid because this is an expensive drive and the steps to fix the device are beyond stupid. don't buy it.

    Write performance tanks after 60GB

    Write performance is fine (about 300MB/s) for the first, about, 60GB and then drops off a cliff to around 50MB/s or less. Sustained writes are actually slower than the magnetic hard drive I was trying to replace which can consistently his 150MB/s. This is a known flaw with the drive's design that's documented in many of the reviews online.
