    Didn't know why my laptop ports didn't recognize either of the T7 SSDs. Didn't come with instructions. Had to research in order to find out they needed to be initialized & partitioned before use. Will seek another brand, plug and play SSD in the future

    You have to purchase this ssd. Fast and big amount of space in a small external hard drive, specially for backups of all my media.

    Read and write speeds amazing. I can scroll up and down (pg up/dn too) in my local drop box photos (18,000) and the page has no lag loading all the images - literraly seconds only. I have 12 x15 (180 high res 20 megapixel images a page) pictures per screen view so before this upgrade i could wait 45 seconds per page and i'd often need to scroll through 200 or more pages. I installed a USB3.1 Gen2 port using the PCI Express expansion port to get the maximum throughput - the computer is 7 years old too.

    I have multiples of these and recommend them. they are small enough that I am able to use something like a contact strip to stick it to the side of my case. These will also work great as Dash Cam drives if you own a Tesla or Rivian.
