    Got this on sale, otherwise SSDs are way too expensive. 500G is only good as an extension of storage space on your MAC/PC. Too small for backup or archive purposes. I use it to edit photos and move the final version to my 5T HHD. If you work on a MAC, make sure you erase/format the drive 1st, otherwise Time Machine can’t backup this external drive because it doesn’t have the correct modification timestamp format required by Time Machine. I didn’t and already put 300G of data on it before I realized it wasn’t being backed up. Too much data to start from scratch. However, it’s default format is flexible for me to plug it into a PC if I needed to.

    seems pretty nice... i did discover that by saying yes to a password that it seems you have to have the Samsung software on your device before you can see ANYTHING on the drive... no indication that you need to install something... just looks like an empty drive... great for security, not so great when you are trying to show a video file at a friends house and can't figure out why it will not work!! I am sure it is user error... but a pain never the less! Plays video files perfectly once you find them though!
