To find a 4tb SSD external at a decent price point that is water resistant and durable. The transfer speeds were awesome and plenty of space for what I need. Use a lightning port on a computer if you have one. Makes a HUGE difference!

Good backup storage if paired with another backup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far so good. Bought this as a replacement hard drive when my 5-6 yr one failed. Luckily the IT group I took the old one to was able to recover my original files because it had a disk in it. This Samsung one does not as a heads up. While it's more stable and less likely to fail overall, when it does fail, the data will unlikely be recoverable. So it's best to have backup in a few places like an online/cloud, an SSD, and/or a secondary hard drive. Especially if the files are important. That's the advice the IT Guys gave me. It's good advice so I'm passing it along. The SSD itself feels super light, very portable, has a nice grippy texture. Plug and play.

Great SSD external drive!

I didn’t look at dimensions before buying, only capacity. I am currently using this as an external drive for my PS5 and I have no complaints. The transfer speeds from the internal drive to external are very fast, and the installation process couldn’t have been any easier. Very happy with this purchase
