I had to buy one for an extra memory in case the laptop that I purchased ran out of memory as I'm not comfortable yet with the cloud and paying for a monthly fee for it.

However, it is still fast enough for what I use it for, but I am only getting a max of about 600MB/s. Yes, I am using a USB 3.2 port.
