This is a nice, small and relatively fast SSD that comes with some pre-loaded software depending on your computer type and a couple of USB cabes (C and A). I connected it to a Mac and installed the software that was preloaded on the SSD. However, I was unable to use the software as it could never detect that the SSD was connected to my Mac. I tried unplugging/replugging, rebooting my Mac, deleting and reinstalling the software but all my efforts were in vein. Regardless, I wasn't going to be using that software (I don't even know what it does since I was never able to run it) so that didn't bother me too much. I reformatted the SSD using the Mac's Disk Utility program to APFS and ran a Black Magic Speed Test on it. I don't really have much to compare, so I'm not sure if those results are good or just okay or bad. I'm guessing it's pretty good because my subjective sense of the speed of the SSD when dragging files onto it is that it's plenty fast for my purposes. I don't have any hesitation in recommending this SSD.

I love this ssd drive. Not only is it made by Samsung but this thing is rugged. Its got like a rubberized exterior and is easiy to grip. Its small enough to fit in your shirt pocket and its fast when transferring from ssd to ssd. The only drawback is its price. Probably in sn year they will be half the cost and much more afordable.

Ive now bought two of these ssd i carry them across the world with me and they are super easy to use and seem to be very durable. I havnt had a single issue so far in my two years of using these products. Id recommend them to anyone looking for a rugged ssd at a decent price.

I bought this device, I didn’t write the review before because I want to be sure it works as says. It is fast, safe, even you can use a password. By the way, days ago it fall off in a shallow water, just dried it and worked properly. It survived to the water and the downfall. I recommend it to everybody. I will buy other, with more capacity.

I bought this external ssd and loaded up macOS on it to boot. My late 2015 iMac computer now runs like a breeze. I would highly recommend this product. Fast and very small and sleek.

It just blows me away that you can 4TB (or more) of extremely fast storage in something so portable and small.

Durable SSD, much slimmer than I anticipated. I’m not getting into specifics but transfer speeds are noticeably fast, thing flies. Definitely already dropped it a few times without any signs of wear. Samsung makes great products.

I bought this to replace my old HDD that somehow got corrupted. This SSD is blazing fast, small, light, and portable. I ripped my bluray and 3d movies to it and plug into my Xbox series X and turned it into a media hub. This is definitely worth buying, I have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS

An excellent product from Samsung. It’s not only small and durable, it’s fast and reliable which makes portability and performance noticeable. I would highly recommend this product to everyone who has a need for high performance storage drives while on a budget.

I've been using the Samsung T5's for about 6 to 7 years now and I really thought those were the best and super fast but wow have times changed. I'm sure when I bought them, they were top tier of SSD's. I just recently purchased the T7 and its a huge change in speed. (For me anyway) Same reliability as always and have never had any issues with the samsung SSD. Fast and reliable and now adding the rubberized coating to make them a little more resistant to scratches and drops, etc... I'm sure these will now last me a good 6,8+ years. My only gripe is they're pretty expensive compared to other brands but since I've used them for a while now, they have not let me down. So I'll continue to pay a little extra I guess to get what I want and need.

Wow! I love this. This is a beast. A real game changer in storing all my files and music. I can store so much on this. and I can carry it around, and if I accidently drop it, it will still work, and all my file folders are still there and accessible.

It's fast, it's durable, and it's very portable. Notwithstanding difficulty using this on my USB-C port, it is exactly the cure for my need to store large numbers of videos with immediate access.

Ive had this for a while now and still have plenty of storage and it is super easy to pack up and take with me. This is the second one that I have and couldnt be more pleased.

This was the 2nd T7 Shield I've purchased, first was for my car (works GREAT) and this one is for my Desktop computer for backup (mostly for all of the photos!) Very pleased with the quality, speed and ease of use.
