Bought so I could play BG3 on my laptop - though it has only been a few weeks, it has worked well so far! Before buying, I worried using an external drive would cause some lag in-game; I'm excited to say everything is running smoothly and quickly! I've got over 40 hours of gaming on BG3 with no issues. My whole Steam library has been moved onto the Samsung external drive to free up space. I wish I had bought something like this earlier. My laptop only has one USB port, which I use for my wireless mouse...so it's a lifesaver that this external drive comes with both a Type C-to-C and Type C-to-A wire! It meant I could uses the C-to-C cable to attach the external drive, and still have my USB port free to use my mouse!

Wow! I love this. This is a beast. A real game changer in storing all my files and music. I can store so much on this. and I can carry it around, and if I accidently drop it, it will still work, and all my file folders are still there and accessible.

Samsung's T7 Shield 4TB External USB is an excellent external storage device! It's light weight, small, and water/damage resistant. It provides me a reliable, convenient way to store and retrieve all of my data quickly.

It just blows me away that you can 4TB (or more) of extremely fast storage in something so portable and small.

I bought this device, I didn’t write the review before because I want to be sure it works as says. It is fast, safe, even you can use a password. By the way, days ago it fall off in a shallow water, just dried it and worked properly. It survived to the water and the downfall. I recommend it to everybody. I will buy other, with more capacity.

Ive now bought two of these ssd i carry them across the world with me and they are super easy to use and seem to be very durable. I havnt had a single issue so far in my two years of using these products. Id recommend them to anyone looking for a rugged ssd at a decent price.

Great external storage,very compact and rugged. Price point it wasn't a steal by any means,but for what it is its not bad.

This drive came with cables that allow connections to either USB-A or USB-C ports on the host machine. The drive is lightweight and very fast. I use this drive to backup my NAS device. It is small enough to store in a fire safe for off-line storage.

This has never failed and easy to use. Ive had other brands that have lost extensive amount of data, but this has been solid!

The Samsug T7 has worked extremely well for me - but was even better was the service I received from the sales person I had at the Rockaway Store - George Balko was extremely helpful and friendly - he was able to answer all my questions and was very pleasant to do business with - he should be compliment - he is a very friendly and professional representative of Best Buy!

This was the 2nd T7 Shield I've purchased, first was for my car (works GREAT) and this one is for my Desktop computer for backup (mostly for all of the photos!) Very pleased with the quality, speed and ease of use.

I bought another well known brand that was way cheaper and it didn't work for my needs. It had a lot of issues staying connected to my laptop. Returned it and got this Samsung SSD, and it is 100x better than the other brand! I bought this so I can play modded PC games and so far, it has worked perfectly. This thing is solid; I don't feel I have to be as careful with it. It doesn't have performance issues and my game works great on my laptop. I would highly recommend!

Great hard drive for the price. Super fast read/write speeds and very reliable. I have several of these and haven't been disappointed. Good price considering SSD prices but cheaper would be better.
