I had previously owned the T5 and was very happy with my purchase. T7 is much faster but a bit larger than T5. I use it to back up my Mac

Works great with computer and samsung phone, but wont connect to my Motorola phone.

I got two of these recently. One works perfect. The other does not. The one that works well tends to accept writes at a rate of 420-550 MB/s. I do large scale copies volume to volume for backup purposes. The good disk does not create errors in the event viewer log. The bad volume pollutes the event logs with event ID 153 Disk Timeout errors. It generated 296 of them in the space of an hour. And speed slowed to 0 bytes/second for multiple seconds at a time. i.e. It hung while the O/S recovered from the i/o timeout. I then had to struggle with getting data off the disk for multiple hours as it had, before I detected the issue, been a sole source of files while I was doing a migration. If both disks had the same problem it would have been a 1 star rating. The other disk does work well.

Rugged is the reason I have bought this. It is bulkier than "non-rugged" version. Cost is reasonable

Good product but the instructions are to small to read.

It actually looks very cute, I love the color the feel and the rugged feel. Very compact. Got it on Black Friday for a very good deal.

Compac and eashbto connect. Easy to transfer files to. Greta way to store back uo files you dont need to access on a regular basis.

Awesome but the usb drives could be more sturdy on these. Fast read write speeds

This portable SSD works well, it's fast and does not get all that hot. I use it to record video and it's doing that perfectly.

This is a great product for the price. This is much more dependable than the platter style hard drives and last much longer.

Works great with my Dell laptop running Windows 10. Just plugged it into the USB-C port and off and running at super speed.

Speeds dont match what is quoted. I am using this on a M1 Macbook air with an older anker usb c dongle (2018-2019). I was transferring some pretty big files from an SD card to this SSD. 50gb-150gb worth of data eqch transfer and it was taking 15-20min or more. Not happy about this. Will be contacting samsung

This is the smallest and fastest hart drive I ever had. Pretty cool that technology is allowing us to store a large amount of data something that would fit almost in my wallet. Samsung is a brand that I trust because I know they are at the forefront of technology. I have been using Samsung memory types and different styles for quite some time either it be an SD card, flash drive, microSD card and other small data forms however this is my first time using a large dataform with Samsung. I usually hate having an external hard drive because they’re usually big and it adds weight to my computer briefcase However this little guy is just perfect. With it being rugged I don’t feel as worried to keep it on me. The IP 65 Rating makes it water resistant and dust proof which is great for anybody typically with a hard drive as it will help against things like rain, spills, We’re a normal amount of dust that you would come into contact with like from a work bag purse office drawer or car etc. It does also say has heat resistant material but I am wondering if this is more because it’s such a small compact size and it helps protect its own he would you will produce when downloading or uploading from the device. The USB 3.2 technology is really nice when supported by the opposite device such as a laptop or pc. This will allow for high data read/write speeds of up to 1,050/1,000 MB/s. If your main device does not support USB 3.2 It will not reach the speeds most likely however will reach the max be to which your device and USBs allow. So even if you do not have a current device that supports a USB 3.2, this will be preventative for the future as you are will already be equipped with a higher speed USB storage device or if you plug it in to somewhere else let’s say a friends computer. Yes this will work on a gaming console. This was tested on my PlayStation 4 which was able to upload A game without any flaws. If anything the floor was with the PS4 as it has a lower generation of USB ports. I’m sure the new Xbox and PS five probably have newer generations of USB ports which will be able to achieve higher rate read and write speeds however it is sufficient for the ps4.

Very fast read and write, a lot smaller than I expected. Love the 2 TB backup room. And at $150 can't beat it.
