Helps with the limited SSD storage of the MacBook Air. Would recommend. Had a SanDisk portable SSD that stopped playing nice with any Apple computer. Several reviewers recommend this one for good Apple compatiblity. Would recommend to any Apple user needing additonal storage capacity.

Wright speeds seemed good considering the age of the computer it was backing up. I haven’t tried restoring with it yet so that will be the real test at that point in time. Also it was nice getting Black Friday pricing.
