The transfer took longer than I expected, but it was a large photo library. I have no reason to believe that this drive won’t be super reliable, but time will tell.

Not sure I've seen 2GB/s, but it easily writes at more than 1GB/s to an encrypted volume, and that is more than fast enough even for 4K video editing. It is smaller than it looked online, but has a sturdy feel and a rubber casing that is nice to the touch.

I bought 2x 4TB, one for backing up a PC and the other for VFX editing and photography work. You must have a 3.2 connection from your hardware to get max speeds. So, keep that in mind. Even without that the speeds are phenomenal.
