Stoped working after two days

However, HDMI is actually mini HDMI, you need to get a Mini HDMI adapter or cable. Plus, both the units that I bought stopped working after one day. Not sure if best buy is selling preproduction models or something but the packaging is slightly different if you buy it at Target and I’ve had no issues with the units I’ve bought from them. They both have worked for more than two days. Besides that love this new product from Samsung. I use it with my Apple TV since the software on the projector is slow and laggy.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you experienced with your initial Freestyle, and your feedback regarding lag is appreciated. Please be sure your projector's firmware is up to date with version 1204.2 which includes updates to improve lag. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

My friend has one and it works no problem. I got one that after 3 days the picture was black and white even after resetting it through Samsung. They suggested that I send it into Samsung so their tech can look at it. I didn’t feel like doing that so I went to Best Buy to exchange it. The second one I had did not turn on after 2 days. I think it’s a small projector screen that burns out because it’s a lot of stuff going on in the little machine that it is. Ended up returning it I love Samsung products but this one was disappointing. Also both times I returned it there was another one there on the counter someone else returned. I guess we have to wait for the next one to come out and I probably will try it since Samsung quality is usually the best

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As an idea, it's amazing, the Size unbelievable. now the real issues, it has a custom Micro HDMI port and it does not bring the cable for it or an adapter to a regular HDMI size cable. the auto-focus never worked and the calibration was sensitive and always changing the tilting of the image or the pan of it. the brightness not the best and if the room is not completely dark you can barely see the image.

We appreciate your feedback on the design, as well as Auto Focus performance on The Freestyle. To ensure your unit is fully optimized, we ask that you make sure your unit has the latest firmware version installed. You can check firmware by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
Please also check the following, which may further improve Auto Focus and Keystone Correction:
1. Remove the film covering the lens, as this can affect Auto Focus performance.
2. Position the device with the “Samsung” logo on the bottom of the unit.
If the image is too dim, try adjusting Picture Mode, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
Movie: Is suitable for watching Projector or movies in a dark room.
You can also manually fine tune your image under Expert Settings. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

I returned it but will buy it again after they can correct a couple minor issues. When connecting a soundbar via bluetooth, there is a slight delay in voice that could not be corrected at this time. Soundbar is a Samsung Harmon Kardon Q80R

It's unfortunate to hear of the issues you experienced with The Freestyle. Please know when connecting audio devices, we recommend using a wired connection rather than using Bluetooth. For the best sound quality and performance, connect your soundbar with a Mini HDMI cable.
However, if you prefer to connect using Bluetooth, please keep in mind that lip-sync errors may occur.

Picture quality is great and I like the auto keystone feature. I also got a good deal, but its definitely not worth $900.

Exchange d the batteries in the remote…. Uuummm nothing. Pressed the on/off button… uuummm nothing, tried it in multiple sockets … uuummm nothing, called Samsung … no reset button, no tech support just told me to return.. after one day,,, it made me give one star to post…
