This product is worth the money spent. The quality of 4K video is amazing. Easy to use and setup.

Don't believe any negative reviews. Setup without a hitch. Gives a perfect picture with my existing hdmi cable. Up grades Blu-ray to 4k to nearly the same quality as a 4k disc. However it does not upgrade 3-D to 4k, but the 3-D is better than the Sony that I replaced.

Works really well and easy set up too! The only complaint I have is the little remote! The remote has to be close to function and hardly no options on the remote for controlling things. But all in all this units is good stuff and it beats the $699 price tag of the Sony.

I am very pleased with this player. After purchasing a 4K TV, I wanted to get the very most of it so I went the next step to obtain a player that would play 4K movies. The difference it made is remarkable.

Litterally the best player!!! Makes all my blu rays look like they are running in 4k!!!!! And the 4k movies just look amazing!!!! I have the 8500 series samsung. And it works well with the player. Because of bd wise. Makes the quality of older blu rays look even better!!!!

This is a quality product. I don't have any complaints except for the remote, it's just wonky and uncomfortable. Other than that the player itself is good, loads up fairly quickly and can connect to wireless devices, network through wireless or hard wired and the unit is quiet as well. Streaming 4K is excellent if you have good enough internet connection. Again, my only complaint is the remote, wish I could just use Samsung TV remote, universal or cable provider remote works with it just some buttons aren't assigned an input.

Right now, this is probably the best, and perhaps only native 4K UHD player on the market. Combined with a 4K cable and UHD TV, picture is really good. Have all Samsung products, and this player meshes right in with all other products very well. Only downside is a little pricey, but until more competition arrives, this is going to be it.

The picture quality is astounding on this (paired with an LG 49UH6100 TV). It was easy to connect and setup. Has all the bells and whistles you could ever ask for with a blu ray player. Highly recommended!

The Samsung - Ubd-k8500 4k Ultra Hd Wi-fi Built-in Blu-ray Player - Black has been on my wish list for a long time. I couldn't wait to use it.. I have a Samsung 4k curved TV and a Samsung curved sound bar. Now I have their perfect mate in the 4k Blue-ray player which is also curved. I have read many of the reviews on this product and was really impressed with all of the high ratings it received. A friend of mine has one which he demonstrated it for me with several UHD movies and I was amazed at the clarity and seeing all the colors and the shades of them. It was really too much to express with the right words. After that, I went and bought one for myself and sure enough the results were the same -- fantastic.

I was hesitant at first buying the first gen if this because of my first DVD player, which ended up with an ax in it (it eventually took 20 mins to load a DVD). This is pretty sweet, plays perfect, looks awesome on the 4k TV and loads fast!

This item was on sale - priced at 50% of the (manufacturer suggested retail price). It has all the features I would expect and is easy to operate. It is especially nice when paired with a Samsung TV because I can use the TV remove to operate the dvd player. The DVD remote is small which is why this item did not get five stars.

When I was doing some research a while back I recall blu Ray players coming out soon! Glad I waited and picked one up on sell on top of that! It's pretty fast loading time consider watching UHD movies... only thing I don't like is that when you power it on there isn't an indicator that tells you that power has been activated and have to tap it a few times and accidentally turn off due to it nothing major after having it for a while now. The beautiful thing is that it has dual hdmi outputs on it since my Av receiver is 2 years old it does not support hdr albeit my tv doesn't either I am wiring my setup for a new tv here in the near futur. Also remote is a joke I never used it I programmed my universe remote!!

it is the first generation UHD blu ray player and after some initial set up problems (linking with my new LG Oled) the player is working great. awesome picture, as one would expect, with the added bonus that my tv remote can control all the features on the player so I don't have to use the substandard remote that comes with this unit.

I bought this to hook up to my 49 inch Sony 4K Smart TV, so I can watch UHD movies on discs. But when I went to rent a few BluRays at Redbox the first weekend I had it, all they had in my neighborhood kiosk were DVDs. Still, it says it will upscale those, too. Boy, does the upscaling work! The films I rented on DVD looked GREAT, and the audio is perfect! Not to mention, by passing all the data through the HDMI cable, I can use the remote that came with my Sony TV to power up, power down, and operate ALL the functions on my Samsung 4K Blu Ray player. This thing has a built in buffer that lets me watch 4K videos from YouTube, even though my home wifi provider only manages about 3.25Mb/sec most of the time! It also searches YouTube and web providers much more efficiently than the app built into the Smart TV. At under $200 (on sale), I really hit the jackpot with this item!

Easy to connect and use look s great on the TV Easy to use for the remote

This was the only 4K player available at the time in the store plus it was on sale (1/2 price). I have only purchased one ultra 4K movie so far and wasn't impressed with the video quality (yes, I have a 4K tv and 4K HDMI). However, it does have a great picture upscaling regular bluray movies. I also like the included apps.

I bought this UHD player during Black Friday ($200 off + $10 gift card) and I'm very satisfied with it, although I have to say I would've not bought it for $399. Excellent picture, upscales blurays as well so all in all a great buy. The quality of your UHD HDMI cable will also determine the level of picture quality you get.

I buy everything Samsung and have never been let down with my purchase. My only wish for this was that it had a better price tag (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). I probably could have waited until it was on sale but where's the fun in that! You will not be disappointed in this player...even got dad to buy himself one!
