Lots of good action and adventure. It has a good story line and lots of good cinematic elements. I do enjoy the tons of action in the movie. If your looking for a movie to just sit back and enjoy with the whole family then this is a good choice. Has lots of good life lessons in it. I would watch it again and again. Makes a great gift for someone.

I love the destruction in this film. The shot of the land rolling like waves is amazing. That said there is no need to buy in 4k it looks no different than the blu-ray version so if you already have the blu-ray don't bother but if you don't have the film yet at all go ahead whats an extra buck or two right.

My wife saw this before me and said that the non-stop action was so over the top that this movie really rates in the comedy section as much as an action/adventure. I must agree, and the blu-ray version has excellent quality video and the sound track matches the non-stop action. Don't know how may times I will re-watch it, but as it was on sale it was well worth adding to the library.

I read reviews that the movie was horrible. I watched this movie and it did what any good action flick should do and kept me entertained. yeah I would agree the story line was weak , but who goes to see a full on action/disaster film for a story line. The special effects were awesome and this movie did not take long to get started and once it did it took you for one heck of a ride and didn't stop until the very end.,

I love disaster movies. 10.5, Volcano, Poseidon, and Towering Inferno are some of my most favorite disaster movies. I've watched San Andreas 3 times since I purchased it Saturday. This was also my first 3D Blu ray purchase. It was completely worth it too. There's so much action. We have the helicopter, airplane, truck, and boat scenes. It's crazy. There's no over the top acting. The Rock is awesome in this as well.

I purchased a player that advertised 4k upgrade capable but discovered that it only upgrades to near 4k and would not actually play a 4k commercial disk. Now I'm told I need a media player to view a 4k disk. Very disappointed. Now I'm sorry I purchased a 4k T.V. 1080 P worked just fine. My review is for the movie not the 4k part. I do recommend the movie but didn't get to see it in 4k.

I enjoy the movie I wanted to see it for quite some time but the case was cracked .

If you like disaster flics, this is for you. Once the shaking starts, it never ends. Plot includes a great story about family, family conflict, grief, etc. Good supporting roles played by two vacationing British brothers. Special effects look terrific in this 4K blu ray.

This movie was typical disaster movie ,but good entertainment for a lazy night.I happen to like the rock so it was okay for me..Like the other reviews the daughter was a 30 yr old playing a 20 ...Also did not think Gugino was a good match as wife for Johnson,she is a good actor just not good pair for him.So for a night when you don't want to think to much this is a good choice...

It was $6.99 and was totally worth it. It's not a bad movie and the 3D is pretty good.

This was one of the view movies that my wife and I saw in the theater. Bought it because of the fantastic CGI and sound track. It's a good story line and the computer graphics are fantastic. When the movie is over your refreshed and feel like you did not waste your time. Recommended. We have the grand children this weekend and this one will be shown to the 6 and 8 year old Christmas Day.

San Andreas is exactly what you'd expect it to be - a big, loud, thrilling special effects extravaganza. And in 3D the effects are even better! Dwayne Johnson and Carla Gugino are the cliched divorcing couple who reunite trying to rescue their child. Their performances are good enough to almost forget you've seen the same character relationship in many other disaster movies. Recommended, especially in 3D.

I grew up in the California Dessert so this was fun as I am now in Oklahoma. Though we now get more earthquakes than Cali. The actors are soso but you're seeing the film for the disaster and it delivers. However compared to the Day after Tomorrow it leaves a lot in my heart to be desired. But still for an escape it's a solid 2 hour time killer with a decent ending.

packaging: ordered online Movie: This movie is very simple essentially just a modern update on the movie "Earthquake' the 70s disaster classic. The movie is well acted and the characters did not get on my nerves like they sometimes do in movies like this. Not much to really say other about this movie other than if you like big Hollywood disaster movies then you will enjoy this movie.

I got this mostly for the 3D to be honest. The movie was OK, not great.

This is a great action movie with of course a little of everything in it to keep everyone interested! The only problem I have with it is that the main character forgets about everybody and everyone except for his ex wife and daughter! When he is suppose to be so great at his job rescuing people! Other then that this movie is really worth a look!

This by far the best realistic movie made about San Andreas fault. Being from California, and having to experience a few quakes, made me feel this movie even more. People that haven't experienced or ever felt an earthquake, can not relate with this movie and thus thinking it's a cheesy movie. But, it hit home hard, I love it.

This, like many other action movies, needs to be watched with the assumption that the storyline will be predictable (as it was), the acting won't be the best (it was decent for an action movie), and won't be scientifically accurate (a fair number of inaccuracies). All of those aside, the action was very good, despite being fairly predictable,

I didn't just watch this movie due to my knowing of a few people that worked on this product, but I wanted to see if the "Rock" could actually survive in movie that necessarily doesn't have a lot of "gluteus maximus, kicking". Just like one of his past movies like "Snitch" he actually delivered for the second time, in my opinion, and actual memorable character role.
