I bought this product to listen to my audio books. I wanted a different one than the one I use for my music. I read the reviews before I bought it, and one review said that a man bought this for his 7 year old grandson, who had no problem figuring out how to use it. Well, I guess thats the difference between a 7 year old and a 65 year old, because I was baffled. THe "instructions" that it came with were basically useless for specific things. For example, if im listening to the device and i missed something and wanted to just go back for 30 second, I cant figure out how to do that. Also, one of the big problems I had is that there is a delay, once you push the button to do something. For example, If i put it on pause, and then press the button to unpause it. it takes a full 15 seconds to start to replay. That caused me grief because I thought i was pressing the wrong button. Also when you first turn it on, it takes about 30 seconds to start playing. I bought Sandisk, because it and RCA were recommended for being compatiblel for downloading audio books. Im thinking about returning it, but I am very reluctant to get another Sandisk for fear of running into the same problems. Maybe I should do a little more research and not buy the cheapest model next time.l

Will return it tomorrow, had it for one day, but this is my third Sandisk mp3 player, and I am not at all happy with it. The architecture is poor; the sd microdisk is not incorporated in the root directory. To access it, I have to find the "folder" list, tell it I want the external drive, then flip through the directories in there to the one I want, navigate down to the listing I am interested in and, finally, play it. Major PITA (pain in the ...). Sound quality is not as good as earlier models. I used these mainly for listening to books from Overdrive, but this one has trouble identifying and loading these books into the root directory and making them uniquely identifiable and readable. I have not tried music playlists yet (I usually use my phone for those), but i have my doubts about those too. Overall, not a happy camper here.

A great buy for the price. Stores a ton of music.

Is this mp3 Bluetooth or you have to used regular headphones??

Super FLAC player. Finally mastered play list generation on the computer which opens up more long continuous play times. If only we could still Rockbox them. Please dont stop building these little gems!!

You can't kill these little things! I had my first one for 7 years or more. Then I lost it. In a panic I bought this new one. Exactly the same as the first one. Then I found the first one. Great! Now I can double my music.

I’ve owned several of these and various versions of SanDisk’s MP3 products. All of them including the Clip Jam work well for me. They take the heat and the cold when out running for listening to music with wired headphones.

This MP3 player works great. Price and quality are reasonable. 8gb honestly is not enough for my big audio library.

My unit worked perfectly for 4¼ years, then an "FW upgrading - don't disconnect" message appeared on the screen and all functions were subsequently disabled. Still, I plan to replace it.

Great music source for my grandkids. They are too young for phones but they want to listen to music. This is the way to go.

Solid unit, storage is okay, 8gb is good for a few weeks of constant use, plus it has the card slot, just threw in an old 8gb card in it and I'm set. Tip: Press and hold on the corner button to lock the darn thing. From there, to unlock it tap the corner button then press and hold it for a second or two and it will unlock. Went through a few accidental skips in my pocket and getting big mad about the whole thing.

Simple and awesome. We need mp3 players to make a come back!

My favorite features are the radio in it and the size of the player. I've had another before this for about 7-8 years. I love it! I do wish it had bigger storage capacity internally and bigger expansion for sd cards.

the right side of ear buds dont work. worked the first time i used it but second time nothin comes out of right side
