Didn't want something that she could have internet access on, just for that specific purpose. This fits that specific need. This is my second one of these, I got one earlier for my son for the same reasons.

Good Quality MP3 Player

On this new version some of the audiobooks are not on sequence. I also miss the blue light. I like the addition of the stopwatch.

Unfortunately after about 3 months of steady use, when books are downloaded they are out of order. I have had to returned many of these in the past couple of years.

I put Christmas music on an SD card so at Christmas time I have it shuffle on just the card. When the season is over, I just pop the card out and shuffle non seasonal music.

This item was perfect with the 8G size, perfect for their needs. The device is a little small though so a little difficult to navigate for them, easy for me. So far they like it though, just not sure how often they actually use it when I'm not around.
