This small piece of device works fine except the charging. Will last no longer than a year or so. Finally, won't turn on and die. Even it was brand new when plugged in, it behaves it's own gets charged or not.

FIrmware not as good as older models

I've owned all three versions of the Zip Clip. I bought this one because of the extended battery life and bigger screen. I was disappointed that the firmware took a big step backward on the Sport. Most disappointing is that the music memory doesn't combine internal and external sources. You have to choose between the card or internal (4 or 8 GB) to shuffle. In my case it renders the internal memory useless because 8 GB is not enough for all my music, so I bought a 32 GB card and ignore the internal altogether. Next, the larger screen is a non-benefit since the new firmware won't show album covers like the older versions. Sound is good and battery life is great, but the shuffle tends to repeat songs a lot. I like the Zip Clip players, but this is not the upgrade that I'd expected. It's still about the best of the bunch for the price, durable and convenient but if you have the choice of a Clip+, the older one is the better player.

    Awkwardly functioning buttons

The location of the buttons on the front makes it easy to turn stations and make other selections when you do not want to. Whether in the pocket, clipped on your pants, pocket, belt or elsewhere it is easy to move, bend, twist or turn and either shut it off, flip station, or change songs. It is a pain in the #$$. I would not buy another one of these. I would have returned it but i misplaced it for about a week or so and it was after the 14 days.

Very nice performing little mp3 player. Sounds great, battery life is good and it has a memory card slot. Easy to set up and use. The screen, however, can be hard to see in bright sunlight. I would have given it 5 stars if not for that.

The software interface is clunky (can't sort music and music stored on SD Cards are in a weird order) and music played off the SD Card sometimes just cuts off. Other Sandisk players are much better.

Misleading info: Not compatible with Windows XP

I have no idea whether this product works because my Windows XP computer doesn't recognize the device. I found some instructions on how to address this issue on the SanDisk website, but nothing fixes the problem. Resetting to original configuartion - X; download updated device driver - X. I'll probably have to call SanDisk for tech support, but they aren't open on the weekend and I generally don't have time to deal with this during the week. (Some day I'll take a day off work and call them, but until then I can't really say anything good about this product)

Player works fine but headphone connector did not connect properly giving considerable static and loss of contact. Item was exchanged for a new unit. We will see how that one works.

It was easy to use and I love it except that using it really can be exausting. The connection inside the unit does not fit the earbuds snugly and therefore sound is always dropping.

When I first bought this product, it was great! Lots of music to add as I work 12 hour shifts. A week later it black screened and was not able to be reset. So I exchanged it for the same product thinking that it was maybe just a glitch in the first one. After almost a week of use on the second one, it black screened again. This time I said enough and moved on to another product. I would not purchase this product again if it sold for $1.00.

The battery won't stay charged even though I don't use very often. Biggest disappointment is the poor connection with the earphones. Will be returning.

When I went to play what I downloaded to device, Message enter access code ---- I called Best Buy (NO Clue) They said to call Sansa - I did call sansa(Sandisk) They said the files were protected. I got the Audiobook files from my library and Audible so they were not protected bottom line Sansa didn't know what they were talking about. So I am going to have to drive 58 miles one way to return this sansa sport 4GB to Best BUY.

I returned the item because it wasn't easy enough for my 92-year-old father, who we bought it for. Might be great for someone younger.

While easy to use and load the unit would not provide a solid connection for the ear plugs. Sound kept cutting out. I tried two different units and both were the same. I actually returned both and bought a totally different brand at another store.
