I will be returning my san disk for the 4 time after a few months of me playing it about an hour a week it locks up and you can't do a thing with it. Best Buy has always replaced it no charge and that's great but then I have to go and put all my music back on the new one

I rounded it up from what would be a 4.9 rating. It's extremely light, has plenty of space for your average user (especially if you use wma), and you can expand the storage if you need to. The only problem is that sorting isn't always perfect, but that's just a minor annoyance

Just over one year old. Used for 30 minutes a day for treadmill exercise -average 4 days a week. Do the math for hours of use! IT IS TOTALLY DEAD!! I realize it was cheap and that you only get what you pay for but...I have an Apple iPod that is over 7 years old that still works. Make a smart choice!

Sandisk has yet to let me down. This one is no exception. Only downside is that it's easy to lose and/or damage because of it's small size.

I loved my new little Sansa player the minute I got it out of the box. That lasted until I stopped getting music out of it. I tried every setting I could think of and still couldn't get any sound, until I jiggled the headphone jack. Depending on how you jiggle the headphone jack, you either get sound to both, one, or no ears. I tried other headphones, with the same result. I returned the player to Best Buy and got another, with the same problem. The second one is going back, and I'm not buying Sansa any more. I have had two other MP3 players--a Sansa and a cheaper brand. The cheaper one died and the old Sansa is still going strong after 8 years. Apparently their quality has deteriorated. It's a shame. From the other reviews on this site, I figure you have about a 25% chance of getting a dud. I've spun the wheel and lost twice and don't care to gamble any more.

Would be a nice player if it honored track order

There's a lot to like about the Clip Sport - it's fairly cheap, it has a radio, it's easy to clip onto your clothes to take on a bike ride or jogging, and it has several different ways to access your music - by aritst, but album, by expansion card, by folder, etc. The big problem, and I mean BIG PROBLEM with this thing is that it plays the files in random order, whether the shuffle mode is on or not. I have all my music arranged so that each artist is in their own folder, and each album is in its own sub-folder, and the file names for the tracks are numbered in the order they appear on the album. The ID tags within the MP3 files also have the track numbers filled in. The Clip Sport ignores all that and just plays the songs in whatever order they're listed in the FAT - File Allocation Table - which is entirely dependent on which order the operating system - in my case, Windows - decided to copy the files over. In other words, random. After much research on the web, I finally found a program that will sort the FAT on the expansion card so it's in alphabetic - or, in my case, numeric - order, but that was a LOT of hassle just to listen to albums in the correct order. This player was clearly designed for people who just download a track or two from various artists from iTunes and don't care what order they actually play in. If you grew up with albums and like to hear things in album order, especially important for live albums, concept albums, audiobooks, etc, this is NOT the player for you. Unless you have relatively strong computer skills and can figure out how to sort the FAT. The other HUGE drawback for this thing is that there seems to be a limit on how many files it'll recognize on the expansion card, unless you're in Folder mode. I have a 32 GB micro-SD card full of music inserted into the player, but when I look at it in "Artist" or "Album" mode, it only shows maybe a third of what's actually present. Unless you're a very casual music listener, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for an MP3 player.

    Works like they say

Have only had the device for a few weeks. So far it works as advertised. Music play is seamless from device and microSD card. The biggest drawback is the poor battery performance. The advertised 15 hour battery time is less than 8 hours this early in it's life. That does not bode well for long term use. Battery life is why I can't rate it any higher than average

I'm new to MP3s, so got my geek buddy to help me out. I'm a bit anit-i, so went with the SanDisk. Once I figured out Windows Media, this thing is a snap! I like the screen features. A lot for not too much $$.

The player itself is easy to use and transfer music too. My issue with it is that it broke under 30 days. I got a replacement since it was still under warranty. I hope it last longer.

Did not turn on easily. Eventually was not worth the bother. I tried the method to correct from the instructions(odd that the fix was in the instructions) and it still did not work. Wrote to SanDisk and no response. Very disappointing. Buyer Beware

The player won't last. Very cheap parts. Others even reporting perspiration causes it to stop working. Their support is a joke. All they do is tell you how they don't service them and how basically it's your problem now.

For the price a good buy but the radio is weak. Interface is not intuitive and the documentation leaves a great deal to be desired. Function VS cost it is a great buy it just doesn't implement all that function as well as it could.

I brought this mp3 player to work out with. I liked that it has an fm transmitter in which I never got to work. The controls are awkward & very sensitive. Sadly enough, after 5weeks of sparingly using it just died. I would steer clear as a lot of the reviews state this very same thing on the other colors!!
