We bought this to give to our daughter so she could have something to listen to music on. I think she will love it! Bought a portable speaker so she can dance until her heart is content!

    3rd sandisk player owned

I love this player. I had 2 in the past both that became outdated and eventually stopped working (after years of use). I was using my phone to listen to all my music while I walked. It was depleating my phone battery way to fast. So I invested in a new player. It lasts me about 3 weeks listening to it daily (i walk 4 miles a day/ 1.5hrs a day) it's the best little player and I've always loved the sandisk. Very easy to use and love that I can put my micro sd card in it. Not all players have that capability.

Battery life on the Clip Sport is outstanding, and that is the only reason to choose this model over the earlier Clip Zip; the Zip is better in every other way. My primary use for the Sport is listening to audiobooks, and it is great to be able to listen all day without recharging (more than 20 hours of listening, as opposed to about 8 with the Zip). If you want/need that kind of battery life, I recommend it; otherwise, get a Zip.

This is a pretty basic player, which is exactly what I was looking for. Not all the bells and whistles of an Apple, but for the price I can deal with it. Plus you can expand the storage.

    Excellent Portable MP3 Option

This device works well for both music and books. It is compact enough yet large enough to see/use the screen. It has a simple user interface and has great battery life. I would highly recommend this over any Apple product that usually costs 3-8 times more and with, generally speaking, fewer options and no better quality in build or sound. For the user interface with the PC - the Sansa is far superior to Apple products (of which I own 2 so I know first hand of the contrast in usage). I own several Sansa MP3 players of different sizes and ages and they have never worn out, and batteries keep on charging (~10 years now!).

Picked this up to replace an ipod nano- simple click and drag to device on computer, no horrible program to fight with and no need to convert mp3 to another format. the fact it can take micro sd to expand the storage is great.

Nice mp3 player. Easy to use.Has plenty of storage and adding a micro sd gives you more. One downside with this player is that the songs are separated , clip or card meaning that you cant listen to all of the music loaded. You must select which option you want to listen to. Previous Sansa players , Fuse for instance would allow all the songs A-Z to play. It still a great little, relatively inexpensive player

Seems to work really well for what I wanted it for: listening to ball games on the radio. The FM radio signal is good, and the music quality is good, too. (I haven't used the other features yet.) And it's easy to set up and use.. It's very small and light, so it's easy to carry around.

The clip on the back is perfect for when you're excercising. I like having a screen to see song titles, etc. as opposed to an ipod shuffle. Overall it's a good product for the price.

I wish I 'd bought it sooner. It's much easier than my Walkman products. It's cheaper, holds more content, it's lighter, it clips on shirt so pockets are free, easy to use. I love it.

I call this a good alternative because it is to many other portable device options at a good price and excellent flexibility. The removable media is key. You can easily swap in and out memory cards, copy data to the device and it is easier to use than other devices I have seen.

The sound quality is good and all, but the device does not perform as it should. Once I select an "album," it won't allow me to choose another. I have to go to the root directory to select another album. San Disk says they'll replace the device, but it will take 2 weeks to get another -- so I think I'll just keep it, now that I found a work-around.

The clip sport isn't quite as user friendly as the IPod, however, I've had an IPod for years and only had the clip sport for a few weeks. I suppose the controls will become more instinctive with use. The sound quality with the supplied ear buds is good, and it is great with high end buds. It is more convenient than the IPod because of its size. It is small, light and almost unnoticeable when clipped to my shirt during a run or workout. (My IPod is too heavy to do this). I would definitely buy the Clip Sport again. It was about $60 with a 64 gb Sandisk card. A Great Value!

I researched several products including several more expensive options. I needed something for walking and workouts. The size is small enough to not be cumbersome. The memory is large enough for extensive music and podcast library. Memory is also expandable. Pleased!
