Instructions were terrible. Then when you do figure out how to use some features, the button stop working. It won't hold a charge. Going tp return it if it isn't to late.

I am very disappointed that the system no will longer play windows media player playlists. I also have a 4GB Sansa I bought last year That Will Play them. This is something SanDisk has recently changed about their operating system. Also when I loaded more than 10GBs of Mp3s on the 4GB Sansa on a 32GB ultra SanDisk SD Card it was very slow and would freeze. I have not tried to load more than 5GB on the 8GB Sansa yet. Because it won't Accept Windows media player playlists I would return the 8GB if I could.

3rd or 4th Sansa MP3. Loved the others. Hate this one. Hard to navigate and playlists are now a pain to load, which is doubly frustrating because I use this in my car, the LAST thing I want to be doing while driving at 60 mph is trying to find the next song. I have sung the praises of previous versions to all of my friends. This is the last one I will be buying and I will be telling my friends to try something else. Sorry, but they dropped the ball with this one.

I have a clip plus and a clip zip that I use for working out, house work, traveling, etc. I like to have an extra one that is always charged and saves my phones battery life. I purchased this new one mainly due to the extended battery life. It lasts alot longer and worth it just for that. I feel it is an improvement on the previous models due to battery life and larger screen. I mainly use mine as a music player. I can not comment on audio book problems people seem to have. I have not experienced any skipping or function problems as some report (no problems from previous models either). The only thing missing is the lock function from previous models. The extra battery life and larger screen are worth the trade off of losing the lock function imo. I have a large mp3 collection and appreciate the drag and drop and not having to use itunes for everything. It will take about any music format (mp3,flac,ogg vorbis, wma, aac). I have some of each and record at higher rates. The sound quality is also very good and lot of people rave about these on audiophile sites and put small headphone amps with them. I do not use an amp and have sennhesier 419's and 518's and ultimate ear in ears that sound great without it. I am concerned about bang for the buck and these players fit the bill. I had an iaudio 7 that sounded similar to the clips but started freezing after a year so returned with extended warranty to amazon. there is a new ponoplayer that is supposed to sound great but costs 399. Id rather have 2 of these some good headphones and a bluetooth speaker for that price. These players are easy to use, upgradeable memory, long battery life, sound great and a great value. In a world of over involved and over priced devices, the clip is a refreshing product.

We bought this for my brother-in-law, who is special needs, for Christmas. He needed something simple that he could operate. I preloaded it with music that I knew he would enjoy and was able to do so with little effort on my part. I also downloaded the dashboard for the unit from the product website which will make keeping the firmware up to date easy. The only issue is it requires a computer to charge and you must buy or find a separate charger for wall unit. It has great sound and a nice feature that allows you to eliminate features that are not used. It also has the ability to expand the memory with an SD card. Overall, it's a nice little mp3 player for the money.

I bought this to replace the one my husband dropped in the lake. My husband has a traumatic brain injury. The simpler the better for him. I got this because it is supposedly water resistant and has expandable storage. He gets extremely frustrated because the "buttons makes no sense". I tried it and it took time but I figured it out. If I try it again, I will have to do trial and error again.
