I had originally gotten the 16GB model, with Bluetooth, since it said it would play Audible Books extended books - it didn't. This one wasn't supposed to play them - but it does, if the book isn't too large. For large books, it plays most of the book, then acts as if it hit the end. Believe it loads it into memory for speed, extended books too large. Add microSD card, keep an eye on file size (break it into lower quality multi-part books if needed), and the 8 GB and microSD will hold a lot, play everything.

Got this for my stay at a hospital. Loaded up well over 100 songs and had plenty of room for more. It played well and was easy to operate and was able to use it for my stay without having to recharge it. Very pleased.

I had a previous Sandisk MP3 player which didn't hold as much music so I decided to purchase a new one. Transferred all of my music very easily. This unit is smaller than the first one which is nice. Good purchase!!!!

I would give this little clip 5 stars but the pause and restart time is way too long. It takes forever to get to start playing again after a pause. It is so long that sometime I think it has turned off or broken. Other than that it is great.

We bought this for our 11-year old son who doesn't need a phone or internet access. Love it. Easy to use. Just drag, drop and play iTunes or MP3 files. Good value for someone who simply wants a device to listen to music.

This was a great buy and does exactly what it was made for. I recommend this MP3 player to everyone. It stores hundreds of songs and is easy to down load to as well as editing and has a long lasting, easy charge battery.

We got a good "deal of the day" on this MP3 player. My daughter had an older smaller version of the SanDisk and she loves the bigger screen size of this model. She is just getting used to the features of this model, but does not like the power button location. She also hasn't figured out how to record live radio like she could with her old player. She is happy with the 8GB of storage and option to expand. This battery does not last as long as the old one, but the bigger screen size may be the reason why.

This is one of the best MP3 players on the market that allows one to record both with a microphone and from a FM signal. Very small and compact so it easily fits in a pocket/purse and the battery lasts for hours.

This is my third SanDisk Sport Clip. My first one lasted years, and I used it every day. This one has a much better battery and is perfect for listening to audiobooks. Be sure to spend the extra money to get the 8gb.

There is a 2,000 file limit each for external card and internal memory because of software not hardware. Didn't find that out till I had the product. If you exceed the limit, the songs don't appear in the directory and not playable.

I previously had an iPod Nano, only because of the size. So it was nice to be able to put it in my pocket while working. However, the nano had to be replaced twice & it wasn't recognizing the plug that originally came with it. I also didn't like that it wasn't like most other devices that could all use the same charger. This SanDisk was the only mp3 player small enough that also had a shuffle function. But, I hate that I have to take the device out of my pocket, press the back button to "unhold", then press pause when someone comes up to talk to me. I haven't used the radio yet because football season hasn't started yet. So I can't speak on it yet.

Its awesome to have 1500 songs right at your fingertips. Works good in auxiliary in my car stereo......or for working out.......or hiking. Or whatever your doing. I use it all the time. Seems sturdy. Last one I had worked for lil over 2 years but believe me I was hard on it. Dropped it a million times. So they do hold up. The ear buds that come with it work well too.

This was purchased to replace a Sandisk Sansa Clip+, which has been a terrific player, but after several years of use the battery life had become very short. The Clip Sport is a step down in some ways. The biggest drawback is the user interface -- specifically locating music on the device. For example, from my experience it seems that files are not organized by artist, album or song, but perhaps by when the file was added to the device. Also, some of my files can only be found by either artist or album, but not by the other. Finally, if you're using a micro SD card, those files are kept separate from the files on the player. These issues combined can sometimes make finding music a chore. The good news is that once you find your music the sound quality is quite good, although I haven't tried the included earbuds (I use Koss Portapro headphones with it, and recommend the combination). Also, I really like the expandability. I inserted a 32gb Sandisk card with no issues, and that can hold a lot of mp3's. I also like that it can play a variety of file types, although my flac files were again tricky to locate. It's too bad that the navigation on this player is a challenge. If they can get that straightened out, they'd really have something. As it is, if you think you can stand a little frustration finding your files then I would still recommend the Clip Sport for it's affordability, sound quality, expandability, and ability to play a variety of file types. If you think the navigation would ruin your listening experience, it's probably better to look elsewhere.

when you turn up the volume, it warns you and you have to respond before it will increase. I've had trouble getting playlists to work.
