If you need REAL storage space on a very portable MP3 player this is it! This mp3 player has a slot for a Microsd card, a good screen, and great battery life.

I really like the sansa mp3 players and the clip is great because it will clip onto my top so that my hands are free when exercising. This is my second clip so my husband can listen to audiobooks too. I download from the library and these players are nice since you can put the book on the sd card and it will stay there until you delete it. Great to have a radio too.

Nice sized mp3 player. I purchased this for a present and they like it but asked if I opened the box I said no why? They said it didn't have any instructions when they got it. She did get music to load but her car only plays the stuff that was preloaded from the factory, or we got someones returned mp3 player. Otherwise it works fine.if they get it working in her car I might get one for myself.

Nice unit with decent features for the price. Main complaint was the screen resolution, not good at all but then again it was only $40. We ended up returning it and spending the extra hundred to get the nano which has a beautiful screen. Obviously comparing this unit to the nano is like comparing oranges to apples (pun intended). For its price point you do get a really nice entry level mp3 player.

A big step backward from the clip zip.

I have used Sansa Clip Zip players for years and they have served well for outdoor use (mostly running). Although the clip zip only lasts for about a year to 18 months, the price and features made it my go-to choice and I did not mind replacing it after a year's heavy use. It was easy to use and add music, create playlists, play recently added music, etc. and the sound was decent. When I tried to purchase another, I found that it has been discontinued. I made the mistake of assuming that the Clip Sport was the same basic player in a more rugged case. I was mistaken. It is very different in its operation and features. The first one I bought quit after two uses (about one hour of actual use). Besides regular freezes, requiring reformatting, It had problems with battery life, and a volume control with a mind of its own which would toggle to minimum volume without being touched. Best Buy replaced the lemon and the replacement worked fine. The reason I will not recommend the Clip Sport is that it is difficult, if not impossible to organize and view your music. It took over an hour with Sandisc support for the technician to walk me through the process of creating and loading a playlist to the player using a windows pc and windows media player. It needs something called an M3U playlist. The number of steps involved is ludicrous. What formerly involved creating a playlist with Windows Media Player and dragging it to the Clip Zip, now involves creating a folder, adding songs, saving as M3U, transferring to media player and synching to the Clip Sport. Really? Adding album art is another debacle. It used to be automatic with the Clip Zip, but now the user needs to manually add album art. Fine if you have one or two albums, but wait, this is an 8 gig player. Thousands of songs, hundreds of albums and no visual identifiers unless you have countless hours to add them manually. When playing music, each time you select an artist or album, the default (first) option is "shuffle". I guess if you do not care about the order of your selections that will suffice, but it is certainly not my preference, yet I cannot avoid the shuffle feature. If I have 8 gigs of music with over a thousand songs on the player, I need an easier way to organize and select my listening choices. I am sure, by now, you sense the frustration with this player. The player is not user friendly.

This is a nice little MP3 player. I use it for running. The battery last a long time. It indicates 25 hours between charges. I've had it 4 weeks, only charged it once so far. It's a little bigger than the previous model and the only issue I have is the buttons for going forward and backwards They're not really raised, so I sometimes push the wrong button. Other than that, it's a great player.

I work in a very noisy office and I purchased this with some noise canceling headphones. It has great sound quality and great FM Radio reception, Win Win for me. Easy to upload to and shuffle through the options. If I lost it I would buy another.

This is a great little player. It is easy to use, has great sound and is compact. I listen to books when I travel and do yardwork, so I was looking to replace my older SanDisk player and thought this was a good deal at the time. Only after I bought and started using this Cllp Sport did I realize that if you want to listen to audiobooks, you have to use the audible files. The different file types supported are listed on the side of the box, but if you don't know the file format of the audiobooks you want to listen to it doesn't do you much good. I get a lot of my books from the library and Amazon so these files are not supported with the Clip Sport. I don't want to have to pay $14.95/mth to listen to books that I can listen to for free. I guess I will have to continue using my old SanDisk for listening to books and this one for music only.

For playing mp3s/flac/ogg/etc it is a good basic mp3 player. My issues are with the interface and other software quirks. While it does support ReplayGain, sometimes you still get files that are too loud despite having those settings in the file. Gapless playback doesn't exist, which is another annoyance if you have songs with no pauses in them. Navigation isn't too intuitive, there are times where you can use the back button to back out to the previous menus, but other times you use the "back"-Left/previous track button to go back when browsing a file directory/menu/play list/etc. Sometimes the back button jumps you to the main menu when you should use the Left one instead. I feel like one more button might have worked out better, the main button on the center selects stuff and powers the player down when held. There were times I wanted to just add a folder to a play list instead of having to load and do it for each song. Another annoying quirk is that when playing something and trying to browse either the External or Internal card the music will stop playing, it usual does this if you are trying to brows something you are not playing the current music from. And my MAIN GRIPE with the thing besides the interface is how it SORTS things. From what I can tell there is both a character limit on "File names" and "Album titles" as well, so I have stuff out of order in file view because most of my stuff has the disk number and track number at the end of the file(album name - disk number - track number). Same for the album field, at a certain place it stops reading the rest of it so things get out of order that way as well(album name - disk number). Thus I have to re-edit a lot of my tags or mess with my file names to get around this, which really makes it a pain when I really wanted this as a simple nice storage and sized MP3 player I can easily carry & dump stuff onto and off without a hassle. Some of my files ended up having glitched album art and ID3 tags, which I suspect might have been caused when a few times the player abruptly went into "refreshing media list" mode when I was trying to transfer stuff to it. They still seemed to play fine though. Still not a bad player, but be warned about the above issues. It is annoying find and figure these things out after getting something.
