    Too Expensive!

    This was purchased for me at Christmas time 2016. It Is now April 3rd. 2017. So far, the rubber protection to keep it sealed from moisture where you plug into the earphones has torn off and the clip has snapped off. I did not drop or mishandle but, it is very delicate for it's purpose. Now I can't even run and attach it to my collar. I believe I overpaid and should have saved for a better one. I thought $60 was plenty for a 16gb mp3 player and I didn't want to add insurance at the cost of $19.00. But, on hindsight after only 3 mos. of use maybe I should have but, for $80. I could have purchased a tougher built player and not have had to deal with this at all. Just saying..............Plus, I've had others that held up for years at half the cost!!! (creative players are much better built)

    SanDisk connectivity issues.

    I purchased this a few years ago and it works fine. I have a small Sony SBX speaker…no problems……I upgraded to a more powerful Bluetooth speaker…Soundcore Motion Boom speaker….try to connect my SanDisk….and it does not play properly…..skips constantly……contacted both Soundcore and Sandisk….Soundcore offer me 15 % off the purchased price since I wanted to keep the speaker, which does connect to my mini iPad. SanDisk wrote back to me advising that I have a older version of Bluetooth 2.1 and that is probably why it won’t make a good connection….bummer…..this made me buy another MP3 player of a different brand with BT 5.0 version……don’t get me wrong, I liked my SanDisk MP3 while I had it…..but if you buy anything to connect, earphones or speakers, see if it is going to be compatible.

    Poor Bluetooth

    I purchased this to use as a non wired music layer so I didn't have to carry my smartphone around in the gym. First time using the bluetooth cuts out constantly. I think this was due to normal interference in the gym from other users of bluetooth because outside it was much better. I then tested with my Galaxy S8 paired to my BT head phones and the the sound did not cut out at all. So that verified it was not the headphones. Other than that, the controls are not that great, the lock/unlock was tricky to use (easy to relock when trying to unlock) Wanted to like it and use it, but it's going back to the store today. I wish Best Buy had better options in stock.

    Not happy with this purchase

    Usually I buy Ipods but I wanted a smaller unit with a radio. I purchased this unit and on the 9th day of using it the screen became distorted. I use this for work and listen to it for over 8 hours a day. I bought it June of 2018 but did not take it out of the box until July 9th and used it for 72 hours total and screen went bad. I would consider this bad quality and I do not even know if I can return it since it has been over 30 days. This should not have happened with such little use.

    Broken from the start

    Used Sansa products for years with great success. This unit was bad from the start. The playlist had a bunch of lines of what looked like Chinese language in a list. Would not load my music correctly. Ultimately the screen just went black and would not turn on again no matter how long it was charged. Wasted hours trying to get it to work. Did not get even a few minutes of music use from it. The replacement plans are priced too high in my humble opinion.

    Not Worth The Buy

    I previously posted a 5 star review on this item. I bought this back in the Fall of 2018. It is now April, and I am unable to add music to the device because no laptop or PC will recognize the mp3 player when it is plugged in. This is a replacement from the SanDisk. I was given a new one because the old device was still under warranty. I do not recommend this device. I will attempt to get my money back... I am afraid I will only be offered credit for this purchase. Not a fan.

    Do not buy

    I bought this for my parents to use for music in the car, since their new Honda does not have a cd player or aux plug in. I spent hours putting music on their computer. I spent time showing my parents how to use it. When I went out to connect the bluetooth...nothing. I was told by a best buy employee that it works on car stereos. They had to leave for their 2 day drive without music. I will be getting a refund, but save your time and don't but this.

    Malfunctions often

    This player malfunctions all the time. I spend way too much of my time fixing it. I get the white screen of death about every 7 or 8 times i use it. The screen goes white and player stops working. Agree with other reviewers, the clip breaks very easily. Mine broke after about a year.

    Lasted 4 months then just wouldn't turn on...

    Don't buy this! I bought mine in June 2021 and I've been using it fairly frequently and out of no where it just completely died!! It didn't get wet, wasn't dropped it just broke! Don't bother with this piece of crap... Just buy yourself an Ipod they're only 100-150 dollars more these days.

    Purchased to use on my Plantronics BackBeat Fit Bluetooth headphones for workouts. Didn't work. Went to Sandisk site and was told I had to update firmware on a brand new item?! Firmware still didn't work. Very disappointed! This paired with Bluetooth speakers I have but that's not what I wanted them for. If you want to work with wireless headphones, DON'T BUY THIS ITEM! I returned to store.

    Advertised and bought as new; already had songs and podcasts on it. Earbuds seem to be in a new package. Maybe a refurb? Music doesn't seem like the kind that would be included as demo. File dates are all over the place. Music folder has a modified date of Oct 2017; bought as "new" in Dec 2018. Taking back to the store to exchange for an actually new one.

    Who would develop a product that cannot play DRM protected MP3's in this century? Evidently SanDisk. If you're looking to use this unit with anything other than the mp3's you've created, then look elsewhere. If you use a music service, they use DRM and you will not be able to listen to the service. Horrible idea to remove this from the software! Very bad.

    Complete Junk. And cannot create Playlists

    This device is total junk. Maybe in 1998 it was good. It feels old and cheap. Worst of all, it is impossible to move music playlists on to this device. You have to move songs one by one, not by entire playlists. Horrible just so frustrating. This cheap little piece of plastic is maybe worth $3 bucks. It is so old and cheap and useless.

    Lots of issues with this MP3 player. Doesn't copy correctly from server to player. Jumbles some files and directory names. Doesnt work well with USB on some TVs. Doesnt sync up bluetooth to cars. Big issue, cause thats why I bought this device.

    Bought this April 10 after have about 9 months On 9th Month (January 2019) of own it button are hard use and random scratches are appear after touching it and Bluetooth randomly kicks on since I had it to long I cant take it back

    I've taken one back than the next one died one month later don't buy this thing if you plan on using it every day, it will not hold up I would take it back but best buy would not give me my money back I understand and I'm not mad

    Clip snapped off after 1 year and I never used the clip. Now there is just a spring and a pin there and it catches on everything.

    came with some unreadable language only customer support is by e-mail takes to long then just refer you to some download that dose not help ,would not buy a Sandisk product again, will be returning to store

    Bought the 16Gb Blue one about two weeks ago. Let charge the end of the it would not turn on at all. A waste of $60 for two weeks of usage.
