I have an old iPod Nano but it didn't have Bluetooth capability. I didn't expect the sound quality as good, but this little guy is wonderful.

The pluses - small, easy to use, holds a lot of tunes, decent sound relative to the price. The BIG negatives - No matter what these Q&A's say, you CAN'T transfer playlists from windows. Your computer will show your list is on the player, but it isn't. The player has 3 empty playlist folders: Golist 1, Golist 2, Golist 3. These are empty and remain empty, and you can't delete these, rename them, and like I said, you can't add your playlists to this device. The radio sucks. There is no way to save the stations you listen to, and it takes FOREVER to navigate throughout the tuner. Furthermore, the support info online is from a company called Western Digital, and all of their support material so far has been wrong. Like with everything these days, this is 3rd world "customer service", and they apparently do not fully understand the English language, which is problematic. They absolutely do not or will not answer the questions you ask. The player doesn't even have the settings you are told to access. It's nuts. It says to use MTP mode to transfer playlists, but there's no such setting on the player. Nor are there any USB settings. Having all this storage is personally useless to me if I can't have playlists on there! HUGE drawback. If you enjoy spending many hours in total frustration and unable to access any credible support, then this is the player for you. Or if you don't mind having endless numbers of songs, albums with no organization whatsoever, then go for it. The sound is ok for the price. Otherwise, I suggest springing for an ipod or whatever it's called these days. I've bought a total of 4 Sansa players over the years and this is the last SanDisk product I will ever buy - the company as I knew it years ago does not seem to exist now.

Stay clear of this product! I have used it for no longer than 2 months and now I cannot turn it on any more. Such a waste of my money.

It does what it says, but the buttons are very 'sticky' and difficult to engage properly. (I had previously had a SanDisk before that was much easier to use, so this new one is a bit of a disappointment.)

    Low volume fatal flaw

The concept is good, but there is one fatal flaw. The maximum volume is set by the last Bluetooth connection. So for Bluetooth earbuds with no volume control the volume too low. The solution is to connect to a stand alone Bluetooth speaker and crank up the volume on the speaker. Then next time connecting to Bluetooth earbuds the volume is louder. This is just plain crazy. I returned it. If you don't care about Bluetooth then this unit is a gem.
